How do I know if my molar/wisdom teeth are coming through, becuase on the right side of my mouth I can see the top of a tooth coming through and this is causing me immense pain. I haven't got time to go to the dentist at the moment, but I would appreciate an answer on whether or not these are my molar/wisdom teeth coming through, and any information on what I can do to reduce the pain, my gums hurt.

I don't know if I have some decay on my front teeth or if they are discolored but can you tell by looking at someone if they had a filling on the front teeth. Do they put it behind the teeth. I don't want a mouth full of silver...lol

I visited a friend in mexico for a couple of weeks and while I was there I went to the dentist. After the procedure, my jaw locked and the dentist was trying to push it back in place. I was able to close my mouth but now, everytime I open my mouth, there is a temporal pain on the left side of my head. The pain is pretty much on the entire left side of my head. I looked online and they said that lockjaw could be associated with tetanus. Is this pain normal, or did I get a bacterial infection at the dentist? I had my tetanus shot a very long time ago. PLEASE HELP I'm so worried. Thank you in advance.

I have a chipped front tooth where a filling cracked off overt a year ago. I've been using Dent-temp to cover it and have to re-apply every few days. I brush and rinse with mouthwash and warm water before re-applying, but I;m starting to feel a twinge on the tooth now and then. Now here is my question.... It's been two years since my last dental visit because of no insurance and I was broke.. I don't want to go back to my old dentist, he's too busy, he hurries and this is the second time the filling broke off. But every other dentist I've been to wants me to get X-rays, a cleaning or scaling, a check-up etc, BEFORE he fixes the front tooth. I have a new job and my dental kicks in in March, so I would rather have the insurance pay for all that other stuff. Can't a dentist just fix my front tooth for now and I'll go back in April for the rest? And how much should it cost me to fix the front tooth with no insurance?

Well, I have a really pretty smile enev though i have a small over bite. And I tryed these braces thing and my mouth sticks out 3 times it regular. And it is to the point were it hurts BAD. Like pull your lips out for and hour and then let go that is what i looked like after. Is there any type of braces that are really small. Or less noticable or kinds you only have to wear for like a year?

If you see a girl or guy who looks nice but their teeth isn't THAT straight....or isn't that crooked either...would you still like that or think that is perfectly okay? I mean it isn't exactly 100% straight (some subtle crookedness) but it doesn't look bad either. Would you care? You only probably see crookedness if you were close up and observing it.

Ok, I got my tooth pulled today and it was fine for a few hours but then I noticed this white looking thing in there and it didn't hurt or anything but shortly after I looked at it, it started to bleed, so I put some more gauze on it, then when I took the gauze out there was this little chunk of blood with the white thing in it, could that have been my clot?? Could I be getting dry socket now? And if I am when will the pain begin? Help I'm really scared.

2 days ago I had my second ever cavity filled and today part of my tooth broke. Now its all rigid and feeling a little sensitive. Why did this happen and how much should I expect to pay to have the dentist fix it?? Is he liable for any of this since I only had it filled a couple days ago??? Thanks.

I went to have the one next to the back tooth pulled and he was having a hard time extracting it. When he finally got it out, and as I was in tears and shaking like crazy, he told me he "popped" the one next to it out too. I thought he was trying to make light of the situation at first, but he wasn't. Now I have 2 big empty spaces in my mouth. When I went to fill my prescription, he forgot to put my name on it and the pharmacy (and I) could not get ahold of the anyone at the office for hours. I went 6 hours without my pain medicine on top of everything else! I have always been terrified of the dentist and this is why. Everyone is telling me I shouldn't have paid and should sue. I am not the type to sue but I am very upset and hurt. Should I ? I would be happy with him simply paying for both my implants. Any suggestions on how to handle this situation?

Ok, someone just told me that I might have TMJ (on yahoo they told me). So I went and looked on google, and learned its a jaw disorder sort of thing...and all of the symptoms fit me. What should I do? Should I go to a dentist? If so, then what will they do? Give me braces or what?

and recently my jaw has been hurting like CRAZY!! I can hardly eat....what should I do? And my dad says that I probably don't need braces, so he won't take me to get it checked, what should I do?????

My daughter is 19, her dentist noticedc last year that her impacted wisdom teeth needed to be removed but didn't tell her until this year. All 4 are impacted. We've had a consult with an oral surgeon, who told us he'd use general anesthesia. My daughter was born with a hole in her heart. It has since closed up and she has palpitations and is under a cardiologists care. She's worried as I am , after seeing all of these plastic surgery nightmares, plus the fact that the oral surgeon told me, in front of my daughter, that 'there are always risks'.OMG, that terrified us both. The date of her surgery is Dec 28 and she's worried already, Christmas will be a disaster.I mean, she faints over blood being drawn. I'm scared for her. Any advice? The doc mentioned laughing gas, she cannot have any epi .Do you know of anything that could work besides general?I know I have a fib, a heart condition and I cannot have general.HELP!

why do alot of heroin addicts have really bad teeth (rotting & falling out etc) ?
is it the heroin itself, the methadone that they periodically use or just their lifestyle (not brushing or flossing etc) that causes this ?

Last week I was chewing on my fingernails, (bad habit, I know) and my nail slipped and it felt like it sliced my gums open. There was no bleeding but it stayed sore for a few days. It's still sore but only if I touch it. There is also a small white bump, I'm describing it looking like a zit, in that same area. What could this be? And why would it have been this painful with it just being a scratch?

Just tell if it hurts. I can deal with the sounds, the drilling, the smoke coming out of my mouth, but I just need to know if it still hurts. I take to novacaine really well and have had root canals done. I just want the be prepared for the pain.
