Milk is good because of the calcium. Milk is NOT good if you leave it on your teeth. It has lactose--milk sugar--in it and it will rot your teeth if you don't rinse your mouth after you drink it.
They have found that hard cheeses--like aged cheddars--form a film on your teeth that prevent them from being sugared by anything that might be in your saliva.
Diet cokes are not much better for your teeth than regular, because it has been found that the carbonation rots teeth almost as well as sugar does. Don't brush your teeth after you drink soda (soda softens your enamel and you brush it right off). And that Lime and salt "candy" you get at convenience stores...bad, bad news for your teeth.
Preserving teeth: fluoride in your local water supply, and sealants applied at the dr.'s office.

I don't know about milk, but there is a sweetener called Xylitol, a naturally occuring sweetner found in the fibers of many fruits and vegetables. According to Wikipedia, "Xylitol is a "toothfriendly" sugar. In addition to not encouraging tooth decay (by replacing dietary sugars), xylitol may actively aid in repairing minor cavities caused by dental caries. Recent research confirms a plaque-reducing effect and suggests that the compound, having some chemical properties similar to sucrose, attracts and then "starves" harmful micro-organisms, allowing the mouth to remineralize damaged teeth with less interruption."

Sure milk is a good thing. Don't over do it though. Just like anything you need to have enough but not too much. 3 8ounce servings is good enough but do not forget if you eat cheese you already had your milk.
Please always remember to brush your teeth after each meal. What rots teeth is old foods and drinks. they must be removed in order to maintain healthy teeth.
Juices are prooven to ruin your teeth more than alot of foods.
