Your father is neglecting his fatherly duty to look into any pain, physical or emotional, his child is having.

Jaw pain can mean a few things; TMJ Disfunction or impacted wisdom teeth, both should be determined by a dentist.

If it is TMJ, you will most likely need braces, so you get your wish. Why anyone would want braces is beyond me!

If it is wisdom teeth that are impacted, you will have to have them removed to prevent further problems in the future.

Call your dentist or a orthodontist(in your area) for a recommendation for a face specialist for your jaw. I have braces and was having a problem at one time where my jaw would lock on me or pop. So my Orthodonist made me something to hook on my braces where my teeth werent touching to relieve stress on the muscles. I used also a heating pad a couple time on my face for 15 minutes (felt good lol) I was almost going to have to see one,but the pain had stopped. There was tension in my muscles, but now gone. Good Luck.

Do what you need to do to get you healthier and able to eat. I know it seems hard because I don't want braces even though I may need them.
