Ok, someone just told me that I might have TMJ (on yahoo they told me). So I went and looked on google, and learned its a jaw disorder sort of thing...and all of the symptoms fit me. What should I do? Should I go to a dentist? If so, then what will they do? Give me braces or what?

I just found out that i have TMJ. Just go to the dentist. They will probably give you a bite guard to wear at night if your insurance will cover it or if you are willing to pay for it. The bite guard is sort of like a smaller sports mouth guard type thing.

I had TMJ and it was brutal. I had horrible, excruciating headaches that no pain medicine would touch. Thankfully, I found a great orthodontist who corrected the problem. I had to wear braces for 3 years, and he made my top jaw smaller and my lower jaw bigger. I also learned to not clench (which is difficult). The other dentists wanted to break my jaw and add a piece to widen it. I would have to wear braces anyway. I didn't want the surgery. I am glad I did what I did because it worked out great for me.

I told you that you need to be evaluated by a dentist and then most likely by an orthodontist. There is one other doctor that specialized in this field too.

You need to contact your dentist first, see what he/she says, be sure to tell them your exact symptoms, not what you read on the internet.

It depends on your condition what they will do, braces are an option, so is a splint. It just depends on what your mouth needs.
