How do I know if my molar/wisdom teeth are coming through, becuase on the right side of my mouth I can see the top of a tooth coming through and this is causing me immense pain. I haven't got time to go to the dentist at the moment, but I would appreciate an answer on whether or not these are my molar/wisdom teeth coming through, and any information on what I can do to reduce the pain, my gums hurt.

I'm 17 and my teeth are still coming up properly at the back of my mouth, they haven't fully developed which is odd considering I'm pretty much grown up now.

I just wanted to compliment you because for someone who must be pretty young (since your just getting your adult teeth) you write (and spell) better than 95% of those who post on Yahoo Answers. Make time to go to a dentist if it's bothering you, and good luck with your teeth.

Those are probably your wisdom teeth coming in. Find the time to get them pulled, they can cause a lot of problems. Orajel or anything similar should take care of the pain in the meantime. If not, move getting to the dentist to the top of the list.

Without the proper information, i.e. your age, which teeth you already have etc. generally it sounds like you are teething. Wisdom teeth (3rd molars) begin to erupt around age 18 to 20. They can erupt at anytime there after. You need to be diagnosed as to whether they are impacted or are useful teeth. For now get some teething lotion or get Orabase with benzocain. (over the counter), When you have children, you will be more empathic when they begin to whine with eruption pain.
