I went to the dentist in 2005 and they did an extraction of my wisdom teeth. While they were doing the procedure, they kept on sticking the novacane needle in my mouth (it had to be around 5 or 6 times). After two weeks, I still didnt have all the feeling on the left side of my lower lip and chin. Two of my teeth still felt weird, like my gums were still numb. I went back to the dentist and he said that I have something called paresthesia and the feeling might not come back at all or can come back gradually over the years. Do you think that it was caused from too much novacane or damage to a nerve? And does anyone know if theres a chance that I will gain back the feeling in my chin and lip?

I brush my teeth twice a day and have tried scrubbing my tongue as well, but it doesn't seem to help. My breath smells foul in the morning and I don't know how to make it any better.

It's not a bad pain, but where the hole is, it almost feels like I'm having a tooth ache. Or you know that feeling when your gums right between your teeth gets irritated? That feeling.

Am I still in danger of getting a dry socket?
Should I still rinse my mouth with salt water like once a day?

Hello! I was told that I need a root canal but I cant afford it so I decided to just get the tooth pulled out. It is the 2nd to last tooth on the bottom. Does anybody know if the other bottom teeth will go out of place and shift? Giving me crooked teeth

I right now have had tonsillitis for almost a week and its almost gone by now, and ive been on antibiodics for almost a week as well, and been sucking on cough drops for a week as well, and just the other day my tounge got some small bumps on it and it burns when i eat somthing! it hearts to eat! and i got a soar on my tounge as well.........idk what the cause of this is.........maybe its because ive been using cough drops non stop for too long idk...........any info would help! thnx!

i have an abscess tooth that needs to get a root canal...it started hurting 4 days ago, the first two days were nonstop toothaches then after that the pain stopped but if i apply pressure on the tooth, it would hurt like crazy...i went to the dentist and said that i need to have a root canal..she gave me an antibiotic prescription that i should take, so thats good but the root canal appointment is on Nov.2 because this was the earliest appointment they could get....so..will the tooth get worse since this is too long? im taking antibiotics 3 times a day for 10 days.....and does a root canl hurt?-some say yes but some say no, so now im kind of nervous getting my root canal...please give me real answers and not just made up...thank you

there between my back mollars and then theres one on the bottom, they hook a rubber band, and it isnt like the rubber bands you see on braces, anyway she said if you have any problems call her immedeatly, and i was wondering if the the tooth that it was behind started to get sensitive to cold, is that a problem? i had em on for 2 days

I might have to get 4 teeth pulled and I am really freaked. Is it better to get "happy gas" or novocaine. What makes your mouth the most numb? I have really low pain tolerance so whatever numbs the pain the most is what I will probably do! I'm open to other suggestions of stuff but those are the only two I have heard of...

Its my first dentist appointment with my new dentist and i was wondering if he was actually going to fix the tooth in my mouth today and end this excruciating pain I'm in, or is he going to make me schedule another appointment?? I'm terribly afraid of the dentist and already pre pared myself for the needles today.... Plus I'm going away the first weekend of oct and want it fixed.... Do dentists fix on the same day??

I just asked a question about my two front teeth and their gap. I am wondering if the person that responded to it earlier can tell me anything more. What would wearing my retainer full time for a month do? Could it move anything back? Also, what is a Frenecomy? I found some info online but it is misleading as it only talks about tongue-tied problems and the basic removal of tissue? Can you give me any more information about what I could have done for this to happen anyway. I definitely wore my retainer as I was told to. Thanks again, it would really awesome to just hear a little bit more on what you just said..

my daughter has severe head trauma and bites her lip real hard. is there a guard i can put between her lip and gums to keep her from doing this. i can't put anything that can be easily swallowed in her mouth due to a choking hazard.
