start brushing and flossing ASAP. it will bleed and hurt because of the infected gums due to all of the bacteria (they create lactic acid which is why you get decay and gingivitis). then go get a cleaning at the dentist and maybe even infest in an electric toothbrush. they are expensive but awesome! you need to change your hygiene habits or else you will develop perio which will cause your teeth to fall out of the jaw bone.

You can go to the dentist at any time and they will only try to help. I think that teeth that hurt is far worse than the dentist anyday

Well question is WHY didn't you brush your teeth for 2 months? Do your gums bleed?
That is just rather nasty.

What you need to do is get yourself a baby /child toothbrush, soft bristles.. and gently brush your teeth.*the baby ones are very very soft*
Use some listerine mouthwash on your mouth to help kill bacteria in there. *i know its nasty stuff, but it works*
I am guessing your gums are highly sensitive ...so try to avoid scraping them.. just do the teeth. You need to floss them also.
You probably have a gum disease ...

Periodontal (gum) diseases, including gingivitis and periodontitis, are serious infections that, left untreated, can lead to tooth loss. The word periodontal literally means "around the tooth." Periodontal disease is a chronic bacterial infection that affects the gums and bone supporting the teeth.

Periodontal disease can affect one tooth or many teeth. It begins when the bacteria in plaque (the sticky, colorless film that constantly forms on your teeth) causes the gums to become inflamed.

AND GET TO THE DENTIST ... ASAP!!!!!!!

That's terrible. It hurts because probably your gums are inflamed because you let plaque build up. Go to the dentist and get help. and then brush your teeth twice a day. And floss. FYI, inflammation can cause heart disease.

Hopefully, you are using a fluoride mouthwash and flossing even if it hurts to brush. They make toothpaste for sensitive teeth that you can buy. See your dentist.

well, i suppose you could use salt water to rinse your mouth. i heard it's good for infections. after the pain has subsided, please at least use a mouthwash if you don't want to use a toothbrush. and if you want the dentist to help you, they will probably scream. and do your teeth hurt because of the gum or because of decay? if it's decay, whoa. filling...

well duh!! yes they can still help you, but if you make a habit of not brushing for months at a time, you will end up with dentures very quickly.
