I mean, I know some people don't have dental care, but if you brush your teeth properly, and floss, you can go 20 years without seeing a dentist and still have your teeth. That's no excuse. What is the problem?

It kills bacteria. If someone has a viral infection, I don't know whether antiseptic mouthwash is all that helpful.

I just realised this~ the reason I don't smile that much in photos is my teeth, they are just slightly pushing forward... i really don't want to go through a year of braces... can you imagine what it's like in the meeting room full of female eating men?

alternatives?

They are a little crooked and pushed off to the right, so they aren't center. i'm eighteen and debating on getting braces but I feel weird and too old to get them. I'm going off to college with them so I don't know if I should get them now or not. I'm a little self conscious of them. But I also don't know if my family can afford college and getting me braces. Thanks for all the help.

I had my upper left wisdom extracted 8 days ago. The past few days I have felt like something is in my throat, on the side of my throat that is the same side I had the wisdom tooth pulled. It's not sore, but I feel something there and it's very annoying. Today I looked in my throat with a flashlight and saw a white patch on the same side of the wisdom tooth I had extracted. I am going to the oral surgeon tomorrow anyway for a recheck to see how I am healing and will show it to him, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this or know what it is?
Thanks!

I just had a back molar extracted today. It was complicated and he told me it was going to be a lot of pressure. He ended up having to put in a stitch or two. My problem lies in the fact that this was like 12 hours ago and I am still swollen and sore. A month ago I had two pulled on the other side and didn't really have any pain. I am also unsure about the stitch and where it is. I am not sure if it is near the next tooth or further back and I don't wanna mess with anything and lose the stitch. Any opinions on this and how long the pain will last.

I've heard hydrogen peroxide and baking soda work, but is it safe enough that it won't erode or damage the teeth in any way?

Is it okay to use on a daily basis, or once in a while?

Both? Or just one? Together, or separately?

Alright, so I have about a 1mm gap between my front two teeth that I'd like to get closed, and I was looking at various ways to go about doing this.

I don't think braces nor Invisalign would be a viable option, just for the sheer fact that my teeth are pretty decent except for those two front teeth.

I was thinking about getting veneers, but I'm not sure how that would work, due to the fact that I am only 16 (Nearly 17). I've also heard some things about Lumineers, so my teeth wouldn't be reduced to rubbish.

I'm just not sure about my options, and the prices of those options.

Also, on my bottom row of teeth, one tooth is sort of pushed forward like .1mm, and I was wondering how that could be fixed aswell.

The main problem was the small gap.

Thanks for your responses.

I brush my teeth reguarly, twice a day, and I just got back from the dentists and I have 8 (small) cavities! What gives? I have poor eating habits, and was bulimic for about a month, then I stopped and am normal again, but how come I have cavities? Can bulimia cause this??? Thanks

......besides brushing, flossing, water-picking, toungue scraping, gargling, baking soda, salt, and hydrogen peroxide.

I've tried all of these to death!!

The dentist just tells me to eat healthy, which I already do.
