A large number of well known brands have their toothbrushes manufactured in China, e.g. Colgate. They create/design the toothbrushes, and then send the plans out to China for the manufacturing. I'm sure they are fine, as the companies are very aware of safety in something that would be put in someone's mouth.

This is also to the person who answered about buying a 'real toothbrush', have they looked at where their's is manufactured recently? ;)

I doubt it. I don't think they test anything in China for lead. In any case, I would not buy my children a toothbrush made in China. Go buy a real toothbrush. They aren't expensive.

Lipika, the bazillion recalls for items made in China all involve lead paint. Toothbrushes are not painted.
