It could be a cavity, or a chip, or something else. You should go to your dentist, mouth health as no game. It can be very serious if you get an infection. Also when you go be prepared to tell him the following Does it hurt when you drink, Does it hurt when you eat, Does it matter if you eat something hot or cold and many more like this... these are all ways they can tell if it is more then just a cavity. If it is a cavity it is important to get on top of it right away. Take Care for your teeth and they will be with you for a longer time.

It's possible. Even cavities that get filled can get cavities again underneath or around the filling. The BEST way to keep from getting more cavities is to forgo ALL refined sugar and brush your teeth within 5 to 10 minutes of eating. If you can't do that, then swish some water around your mouth. Small cavities can heal themselves, and remineralize. Make sure to brush 2 times a day and floss once a day.

Yes. The cavity is just on the cheekside or lingual surface of the tooth instead of the occlusal part that you bite on..but it's still a cavity. Going to any Dr. can make you nervous, but it's best to take care of it now, instead of waiting for it to become something much more serious. You can talk to your Dr. about nitrious oxide to help you relax.
