Yes, Sparkle,
They do grow back. My dentist had to cut my gums back once because they had grown up too far!

If you are still having a problem with your gums, call the dentist and ask if you should come back in.

no your gums dint grow back that's why we you to be careful not brush to hard away from your from your gum line this is called recession this is the part of the tooth that gets sensitive and sometimes you can see it on people who bush to hard where their teeth are white at the bottom and at the top you see dark yellow that is what is sensitive you can try using a sensitive toothbrush making sure you brush at a 45 degree angle and always small circle motions and ways from the gums this helps from pulling bacteria away and ending up in your gums if you have had a deep cleaning and you had 4 quads done where we would numb 2 at a time your mouth is set up like this UL LL UR LR ( Codes 4341?each quad) more comfortable for you to do 2 at a time so you can eat then make sure you go back to have your teeth cleaned every three months for a periodontal main or if you only had a Full Mouth Debridement (4355?) depending on the size of your periodontal pockets you may be able to go 6 months any pockets 3 and under you can clean and stay on a 6 month routine cleaning anything over that I would suggest 3 months maintenance if your gums have alot of recession you can always go to a specialist usually a Periodontist for a consultation for Grafting
