I had my upper left wisdom extracted 8 days ago. The past few days I have felt like something is in my throat, on the side of my throat that is the same side I had the wisdom tooth pulled. It's not sore, but I feel something there and it's very annoying. Today I looked in my throat with a flashlight and saw a white patch on the same side of the wisdom tooth I had extracted. I am going to the oral surgeon tomorrow anyway for a recheck to see how I am healing and will show it to him, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this or know what it is?
Thanks!

It's just pus, sometimes when you are getting sick you get these. If your throat is sore you need to have a strep culture done. Smokers get these often also. I don't think it has anything to do with your teeth being extracted.

I was thinking thrush or an infection but you say it is not sore. You may need a course of antibiotics. Good to hear you are going to have it checked out. Sensible.
