My son is 5 days away from his 5th birthday, and lost his first tooth tonight while eating a sandwhich. Is this normal for his age or is it too early??? He cut teeth early, and got all his teeth early. Does this effect him loosing his teeth now?

I am in pain like I had never been before.
I have a big cavity hole in my back bottom tooth. It's never hurt before until today. It feels as if someone's stuck foil on a cavity..only 100 times worse. I think its gotten down to my nerve. I have to wait until tomorrow to go to the dentist. What can I do to ease the pain until then?
PLEASE help!

I have this killer abscess in my molar and I don't have insurance. I went to the er and they gave me penicillin and percoset but I took all the penicillin as prescribed and the pain is still there.

I went to the dental clinic and they said i have to see my family doc before they pull the tooth because my blood pressure is too high. So my fam doc gave me bp meds and now my pain won't cease in my tooth. I have already missed 4 days of work and I live alone so i can't miss much more work cuz i need the money.

So i have to call out again tomorrow and i don't know what to tell my boss and hopefully the dental clinic will extract my tooth even though my bp may be high, but i am takng the bp meds.

I am in agony! Any advice on what to do? What do i say to my boss? I have papers from the er and fam doc saying i was seen there. I drive for a living and can't drive on pain meds!

Hi i am only 15 years old. I've noticed that my lower jaw sticks out
from the side. when i am looking at someone face to face it's fine
but from the side it looks a bit big. I met a dentist and he says
i will have to wear braces for a 2-3 years. Then probably get jaw
surgery when i graduate. I have been abused about my "chin"
i have been called names like big chin..etc..

What i am worried about is, will my lower jaw keep growing?
Or is it in a locked position? When i am sleeping i wear a
cloth around my chin to the head so it stays in place. I dont want my chin to grow any more, i mean people find me good-looking, but my lower jaw makes me feel insecure about myself.

I am thinking of buying the whitening kit that includes a tray you heat and form to your mouth to use with the whitening agent. Will this suffice as a night time mouth guard, or do I run the risk of swallowing it in the night?

I am in a lot of pain. One of my impacted wisdom teeth is trying to erupt. My dental insurance will not cover anything until May of next year.

I am having a sharp, shooting pain in my head and ear- it has been going on for days and is hardly tolerable.

Is there ANYTHING the dentist can do to help me? I am pretty much broke so I can't pay on my own- but I don't think I can wait until May for help with this issue.

I had my wisdom teeth out on Wednesday. The last couple days, I have woken up with pain on the side that didn't swell up as much, but after taking some ibuprofen, it usually goes away. The other thing is that when I feel the stitches in that area, with my tongue, there is a really icky taste that comes from there. It used to just be a little taste of blood, but now it's like a really potent blood taste or something... I'm not sure how to explain it. Is this normal?

Im 15. I have a HUGE abcess in my mouth, all my gums are purpley/red and i cant even fit a small spoon in my mouth it is that swollen. i have lost 8 pound in the last 4 days because i cannot eat! My dentist has given me anti-biotics but the pain is unbelieveable!! My left cheek is the size of a tennis ball.. maybe bigger. I cannot sleep properly as it causes me too much pain and my eyes have become black. I feel so ugly. My face is throbbing. I cannot go out as it hurts for the cold air to hit my face and people stare at me. i cant wear my make-up which usually makes me feel more confident. Because of this unbearable abcess, i have a horrid taste in my mouth which makes me heave. I cannot even bath as it makes my face sting. I have also caught a bug, feel sick at the sight of food, heave when drinking, have earache, headache and period pain all in one. I really would appreciate it if anyone - male or female, could give me any tips to at least help me feel better about my self. thanks

My teeth are hurting and I have no insurance as of now. I am not covered at work since i am considered part time. My boss is actually in the same situation as she hasn't been with the company for the mandatory period of time...3 months I think. She told me I can buy coverage on the side. But how soon can I use my coverage? And is it like a cell phone contract where you gotta sign on for x number of years? thanks!
