I personally think it there are more cons than pros. My husband had flouride in his water since he was born and has terrible teeth even though he brushes and flosses daily. I, on the other hand, never even saw a dentist until I was 16 and never had any flouride in my water until I was 30 and I have great teeth.
There is a lot of info out there about the pros and cons, but it all comes down to how much is too much. Too much is dangerous, none is bad for your teeth, the debate seems to come up when people are worried that they are getting too much. Here's a link with some of the pros and cons listed:

Oh no, it's definitely good... why else would they hush up everyone who's ever tried to say it was bad?
One example... a woman hired to study the effects of fluoride. She thinks it's ridiculous to even study it, because she KNOWS it's good for you. Upon completing her study, her results suggest that fluoride cause attention deficit disorder in children. When she presents her findings, she is promptly sacked, and then is unable to get a job anywhere...
So... what do YOU think is the answer?
There's heaps of stuff about this on Google. From what I've read, I feel very uncomfortable about drinking water with flouride added.

i don't recognize the particular toxicity, however the warnings on toothpaste tubes make it clean that flouride is a poison.they say "if greater advantageous than the quantity used for brushing is accidentally swallowed, get scientific help or touch a poison administration center precise away". what's that quantity, some million/2 a teaspoon?

It strengthens your teeth and helps prevent cavities, but if you get too much it's bad for your bones. If little kids get too much while their teeth are forming, they'll get fluorosis (sp?) where their teeth are deformed and covered in brown spots.
tl;dr, less is more, esp. for kids.
