try swishing with warm salt water. it should help a bit. if you have some sinus meds, that may help too. it does for me. don't chew anything tough and stay away from real cold things.

Not a dentist but sounds as if you may have an abscess. The only things that is really going to help is going to the er or waiting until tomorrow and go to the dentist. They will probably give you a prescription for some anti-bodices which will kill the infection and the pain sill soon subside. In the mean time you can try using some over the counter tooth ache medicine clove oil and taking alieve or Tylenol will help. Also if you have some Listerine mouth wash get a bring gulp and hold it on the side where the tooth is it will hurt sting and burn but it will also help to deaden the nerve and make it tolerable for a little while. If it gets to bad then go to the ER and they will give you something stronger for pain.

No. You aren't going to "cure" your cavities. I once asked my dentist if its possible and they all said NO. The only thind you can do is brush twice a day and floss daily to prevent them from getting any bigger. Usually cavities that are inbetween teeth are from lack of flossing. Stop screwing around with your teeth, your only going to damage it more. Its not that bad having cavities filled.. I used to not take such good care of my teeth and have had 18 cavities filled. Now I take excellent care of them though! You aren't going to gag. Its not like they shove their hangs and tools down your throat. Trust me. You open your mouth.. they do the work.. my dentist usually fills all my cavities in like 10 minutes

You can take a pain killer to ease the pain before your appointment. Try eating soft foods as well, and stay away from sugared foods.
