I am sure that I did not burn my mouth, & I am supposed to go back in a week to get it pulled.
Thank you for your help & please keep answering

HELLO JERI,

YOUR DENTIST DID THE RIGHT THING HAVING YOU TAKE ANTIBIOTICS. SINCE HE DETERMINED THAT THE TOOTH SHOULD BE EXTRACTED, THIS WILL REMOVE THE CAUSE OF INFECTION AND THE LUMP.
YOU WILL BE O.K.
KEEP TAKING THE ANTIBIOTICS AND GET THAT TOOTH OUT. GOOD LUCK.

Did you burn the roof of your mouth while eating something hot?
You might have burned the roof of your mouth while biting into something hot out of the oven, and forgot about it, and it swelled up later.

But an abscessed tooth is serious, if the problem persists, you should go back to the dentist.

The lump is infection. You need to get the tooth pulled or a root canal asap.
