I want a glaze that will firm up, but not be hard as a rock. I'm not sure what to add to the melted chocolate bars.

Anyone know a recipe of Tuna casserole with no mushroom soup used? I want to make it for my husband tonight, but his family used to use a recipe that didn't use mushroom soup (I made that for him once and he hated it). His sister is out of the country, so I can't get it from her, and all he seems to remember is that it had lots of butter in it. I can't imagine it just being Tuna, butter, noodles and maybe some onion and celery (but I wouldn't be surprised with his family). He's Canadian, so maybe it's a Canadian recipe?

If no one knows, we may just be ordering pizza tonight:)

I am cooking potato soup right now. I have it simmering and I'm just waiting for it to thicken up. Right now it is very thin and i like it quite soupy. I'm cooking it for my aunt and my uncle will be over in about an hour to pick it up.Will it thicken faster if i cook it with the pot lid on or off? Thanks

I forgot I had 2 New York steaks in the freezer. Sale date was August 11. Is it still safe to cook if I had it in the freezer all this time?

I noticed that all the recipes say to use celery - but I am out -

but if I boil - carrots, onion, garlic, and some thyme and basil and some salt and pepper - will this make a good stock - or do I need to add something to it?

I just need a quick stock to add to some bean soups..

Thanks.

There is recipe I am thinking of called "Tuperware cookies" if anyone has that recipe, oh please share. They were the best and soft, a very simple recipe but I lost my copy.
