What's the BEST recipe you've tried?

Like the question states, I'm not too sure on how I should cook steaks. What's the best way to cook it? How long should I cook it for(especially for differences in rare, med. rare, etc.)? If I should season it, what with? How big a pan or frying dish I need to cook it in?

I know this can be answered with a link of some sort, but answers(obviously) are welcomed as well. Thanks in advance!

i have written what i think is a brilliant recipe book from an individual and unusual stand point, the problem is that i have no idea what to do with it i would love for it to be published but am worried about showing it to anyone in case they pinch my idea, so how can i approach publishers etc while still protecting my idea

I use tomato puree/sauce - the acidity of the tomatoes is a little too much for some of my friends.

I'm already aware of the "add sugar" suggestion but sugar is acidic itself and just balances the taste. Is there a different ingredient I can use to actually change the pH level and ward off sour stomach? Flour? Baking Soda?
