Comstock makes all kinds of pie filling: cherry, blueberry, apple. It can be found in the baking section of you local supermarket and makes great topping for cheesecake.

You can just use canned cherry pie filling. That's what most restaurants use.

If you want to do your own, cook the cherries with lemon juice and brown sugar. You shouldn't need to use any other liquid, the cherries will juice out in the sugar as you heat them. Thicken the juice slightly with teaspoon or two of corn starch dissolved completely in cold water. Add to the pot, and heat until thickened. Stir in a bit of vanilla extract when you're done.

You can use cherry pie filling. If you buy Philadelphia cream cheese it has the recipe inside the box.

Just use cherry pie filling. Add 1/4 tsp of almond flavoring to it. Fast and delicious.

Absolutely agree with your first answer. Canned cherry pie filling and add almond flavoring. Very good!
