Yep its that time again! Time to head back to the ol' grocery store and buy food for the week..lol, but im really stuck in a rut..my husband is the pickiest eater i have ever met. He usually eats Hotdogs, Burgers and Fries, Spaghetti, Sandwiches, Pizza, and fried or baked chicken, he says that its manly food..lol Ugh, im 35 weeks pregnant so i eat anything and everything under the sun and love to cook, so after a while of cooking the same dull things over and over agian, it gets annoying. Can anyone who has a husband who enjoys only "manly food" lol throw a couple of different ideas out there that we might both enjoy?? thanks

Okay so for school I need to make a cake, so I want to make one that looks like this::
http://jas.familyfun.go.com/recipefinder/display?id=50206
Problem is, that cake uses cake mix, and I'm not allowed to.. I need to make it from scratch.
So what I need to do is make a heart-shaped sponge cake, and then pink strawberry-flavoured icing on top. Then I will put decorations such as lollies around the cake (like in the picture).
Can anyone please tell me how to make the sponge cake first, then the icing? I have a time limit too, as I need to make it in class (I will have around an hour to make it, at most).
Thankyou so much!!! Links to recipes are appreciated.
Also, if you have any tips that would be great !!
xx

I want to get a head start on Holiday baking and I was wondering if I have butter in the freezer, make up cookie dough, and freeze it in a plastic bag, and then thaw the cookie dough and bake cookies at Christmas time ? Will the butter be safe and the cookies good?

I made a pie for the first time ever and I cooked it as directed but the crust never turned brown, just the same whitish dough color. Any tricks or tips anyone can give would be appreciated.

Help!
Okay, so I have 4 small red potatoes, quartered; one onion in chunks; one tomato in chunks; one mushroom, sliced; some garlic cloves, and two skinless chicken breasts in a ceramic baking dish with a glass cover.
How long and at what temperature should I bake this?

as opposed to Fast Food? If it's not fast food they pretty much don't want it. My husband's cooking, they would probably pick over, but mine, some time they refuse! Everybody that's tried my cooking loves it, and even my kids, when they do eat would compliment my dishes...but what do I do when they don't want anything home cooked...Yes, I cook foods that they like, and try to keep it simple at times for their liking. This is really concerning me. I want them off the Fast Food line and more in line for health home cooked meals. They're both normal weight kids and so are my husband and I...so what can I do before I lose this battle? Should I buy a little toy for every dinner time meal...just like the happy meal? jjk.
