Paper towels or regular cloth towels sometimes work, but the salad tends to stick to the towel.

They make salad spinners that basically use centrifugal force to shake the water off the salad. You could a couple of collanders or strainers and get the same effect, only with more of a shaking action than a spinning action.

Or you could put the salad in a collander or strainer, cover with a plate or some other type of lid, and shake (while holding the lid down).

I usually just take mine by the handful and shakje it over the sink.

Salad spinner, or lay it out on a tray and blot with paper towels.

Alton Brown did in in a washing machine on Good Eats, but that's for an awful lot of salad.

You can shake it off in a colander but also purchase a salad spinner. All major shops have them - they are excellent. Other than that drain them off and wrap them in a clean towel that should do the trick, I prefer the salad spinner

It's kind of silly but for my family we eat a lot of salad. I have 8 kids...
I use the spin cycle on my washing machine. I know it sounds a little crazy, but it really does work.
