My friend has fried turkeys for 2 Thanksgivings & the results are tasty. However, it is a lot of work & is very dangerous. For best results, use 100% peanut oil.

Pretty easy. Fryers should come with a little suggestions and few recipes. Be sure and wear the special gloves. They are a little longer (half way to the elbow) and a special type of rubber. that way you won't burn your hands. You'll need a special thermometer to measure temp. I forget the guidelines but the literature will give the suggestions x number of mins per pound. You inject it the night before to let the flavor "soak" into the bird. Be sure to have it on a flat surface. Also aware that there will be splatter. So be sure not to wear something you hate for oil to splatter on. Also be careful about the doing it on a surface you don't want oil dropping on. There were little drops on my patio for a month or two.
