Usually it is my day that is long and stressful but I still come home every night and cook dinner for my husband. Most nights it is something hearty.... chili, chicken and veggies, pasta, steak and potatoes. Last night it was a creation...mexican macaroni and cheese. YUM.

His favorite,of course.Unless you are unsure and don't want to ask. Then some thing really hearty. Beef stew and homemade bread, or homemade baked mac-n-cheese and broiled or BBQed chix. Meatloaf is always a big hit with the men.

My husband's favorite food were:
Spaghetti or hamburger helper
or
beans, fried taters and cornbread
either of the above with ice tea
time to listen helps too.

My hubby's favorite after a long stressful day is homemade bread.
Doesn't matter what else I make to go along with it but if I have taken the time to make him bread he knows someone cares.

Any type of comfort food.. he loves my fried chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and homemade gravy. He likes my shepherd's pie too. For dessert it would be either coffee cake (I make them in muffins) or homemade cinnamon rolls. If he's happy, he'll make himself a pot of coffee to drink after the meal.

My husband dies for my bean and rice enchiladas. And he knows it takes me all day to make the beans and rice, tortillas, the sauce, and assemble. He calls it my labor of love.
