This is a simple dish that is really easy and here in Egypt it is called Hawawshi.
You will need
Pitta bread or similar
Butter
Onion
Chilli powder (optional)
Mince
Slice the edge of the pitta bread to make a pocket
Grate the onion into the mince also add the chilli if you are using it.
Then put a thin amount in the pitta pocket, (do not make this too thick as it will not cook)
Squash flat to make the mince evenly throughout the bread
Get some foil and put the bread packages inside dot with butter.
Wrap the foil so that all the bread is covered
Put in the oven until the bread is crispy
Eat while hot
Enjoy!!!

I presume you mean minced beef, Jennifer, and this recipe would work equally well with beef or pork. I think that minced lamb is best, however.
Lamb Burgers with Seasonal Salad
For one person, you will need:
250g (1/2 lb) minced lamb
1 large garlic clove (crushed or very finely chopped)
1 small red chilli pepper (deseeded and very finely chopped)
1/2 small red onion
Tbsp of fresh mint (roughly chopped)
1/2 small beaten egg
Salt/freshly ground black pepper
A little plain flour for dusting
Sunflower oil to fry with
150g (6oz) small new potatoes
Handful of lamb's lettuce
3 closed cup mushrooms (quartered down through the stem)
6 radishes (halved)
Salt/freshly ground black pepper
The first thing to do is to get the potatoes on to boil in salted water. Do not peel or chop them. They should take about twenty to twenty-five minutes. Drain them and set them aside to cool while you cook the burgers.
When the potatoes are boiling, start preparing the burgers. Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl. There is no implement unfortunately which substitutes adequately for the human hand during this process, so it's time to get the sleeves rolled up! Divide the resultant combination in two and form two round balls. Then simply flatten them to about 2cm (3/4 inch) in thickness. Dust with flour (which helps protect them during the initial stages of the cooking process) and cook for ten minutes each side in a frying pan or skillet on a low to medium heat.
Just before the burgers are ready, half your potatoes and mix with the remainder of the salad ingredients in a bowl and serve immediately.

Meatloaf
Serves 6-8
Preparation time less than 30 mins
Cooking time 1 to 2 hours
Ingredients
750g/1lb 10oz lean minced beef
175g/6oz sausage meat
1 egg, beaten
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon sage leaves, chopped
1 tablespoon mustard
1 heaped tablespoon tomato purée
110g/4oz fresh breadcrumbs
½ tsp paprika
salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method
1.Heat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas4.
2.Place all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix thoroughly - it s best to use your hands here.
3.Transfer the mix to a 900g/2lb loaf tin and pat down until level. Cover the top of the mixture with an oiled piece of greaseproof paper.
4.Bake in the oven for 1 hour 30 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked through. (Remove the paper 15 minutes before the end of cooking).
NB. If you prefer, you can place the meatloaf to bake in a bain marie (water bath) ie: in a baking tin half filled with water. Cook for a further 20-30 minutes if needs be. Baking the loaf in a bain marie ensures the meatloaf cooks through evenly and stays moist.

I have put it in a metal dish, and either roasted or grilled it. If you add an Oxo cube, black pepper, perhaps some herbs, it is quite tasty. Most people would probably add onions, but I don't like them. The meat comes out crunchy. Have done it with pork, turkey and beef mince, but for beef, it is best if you use lean mince.

burgers, chilli con carne, moussaka, shepherds pie, meatballs, pies, meatloaf.
You can also try something like stuffing vegetables with mince with some kind of sauce (eg in a butternut squash).
Or try baking jacket potatoes, scoop out the potato then make a chilli with the mince and put this into the potato skin, mash the potato and pile this ontop...sprinkle over some grated cheese and bake in the oven until golden...lush!
Hope you find something nice :)

There's one that a love from Argentina:
"Pastel de Papas"
Basically, you cook the mince with green olives, onion, salt & pepper, and a couple boiled eggs.
While that's cooking, boil some potatoes and mash them like normal.
In a casserole dish, put a layer of mash potatoes, a layer of meat mixture (drained), a layer of cheese of your choice, and another layer of mash.
Throw that in the oven, and you end of with a kind of casserole that is AWESOME--mush it all up and enjoy.
I sometimes also put a layer of marinated red bell pepper MMMMM...
