A friend gave me some talapia (sp?) fillets, are they good for battering and deep frying and could someone reccomend a batter recipe please?

I found a recipe that calls to use 4 cups bread flour and 2 cups whole wheat flour for a sweet dough recipe. I was wondering if this will work using the sourdough starter. Thanks in advance for those who answer.

When a recipe calls for sour milk, is it asking for buttermilk? Can I use sour cream with regular milk? If it really wants soured milk, how sour do they mean?

Does anyone know a good Buffalo wing sauce recipe that is similar to Franks wing sauce? It should have a pungent vinigary taste and be quite spicy.

I have a quarter of beef from the butcher. A couple of the packages are labeled fillet. Would this be filet mignon? There are 2 in a package and each piece of meat is about 3 inches in diameter and 2 inches thick.
Also need to know the best way to cook them other than on a grill. I don't like cooking on a grill and can't get anything to come out right.

I grew peas and beans in my garden for the first time. I'm not exactly sure the best way to eat the peas. They are just regular-size green peas. I heated some of them in hot water and ate a couple--they tasted too "green" and they fell apart in layers. yuk!! Do you know what I should do to make them better? (Yes, I removed them from the pods!)
I usually buy canned or frozen peas from the grocery store and I like them, so it seemed logical for me to grow some to eat.
