Does anyone know a good Buffalo wing sauce recipe that is similar to Franks wing sauce? It should have a pungent vinigary taste and be quite spicy.
(btw I live in the UK)

This is our tried and true favorite.

1/3 cup Louisiana hot sauce (or your favorite hot sauce)
6 Tbsp. butter/margarine
1 packet Good Seasonings Italian Dressing powder

Melt the hot sauce and butter together in a small pot and whisk well to combine. Add the dressing mix (don't leave this out!) and whisk until it's dissolved.

That dressing mix really adds a certain kick.

Ingredients
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 small onion, very finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tbsp clear honey
4 tbsp tomato ketchup
4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp English mustard
2 tsp Tabasco sauce
8 chicken wings, tips removed
2 tbsp flour, seasoned with salt and pepper

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200C/gas 6.

2. Heat the oil in a small pan and cook the onion and garlic for 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in the honey, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and Tabasco and simmer very gently for a minute or so.

3. Dust the chicken in the seasoned flour then brush liberally with the sauce. Place on a baking sheet and roast for 30 minutes until well browned and cooked through.

4. Transfer to a serving plate and keep those napkins handy, or just lick those fingers!

"This is a great recipe for grilled chicken wings. They are much better than fried!"

INGREDIENTS

* 3 pounds chicken wings, separated at joints, tips discarded
* 1 cup Louisiana-style hot sauce
* 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle cola-flavored carbonated beverage
* 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
* 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
* 1 tablespoon soy sauce

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat a grill to medium heat.
2. In a large pot, mix together the hot sauce, cola, cayenne pepper, black pepper and soy sauce. Add the wings to the sauce - frozen is okay. Place the pot to one side of the grill, so the sauce comes to a simmer.
3. Use tongs to fish wings out of the sauce, and place them on the grill for 8 to 10 minutes. Then return to the sauce to simmer. Repeat this process for about 50 minutes. The sauce will thicken. When the chicken is tender and pulls easily off of the bone, you have two options. You can dip one last time and serve for sloppy style wings, or serve right off the grill for dryer wings.

half Frank's hot sauce and half butter. You can use tabasco if Frank's isn't available there.
