I found an old recipe that I had made months ago. It doesn't say how long your supposed to leave your pork chops in the oven for. All it says is:

Coat chicken with mayonnaise
Dip into breadcrumbs
Set oven to 350 degrees
Cook till' lightly browned or crispy

Obviously I'll have to be checking till' their crispy and browned, but would anyone know approximately.. how long this will take? Anyone made a similiar dish? I make beer chops all the time and that takes an hour. I don't know if this would be an hour because I'm scared of the mayonnaise getting to watery. Can someone help me?

I have an idea for a yellow cake with white frosting topped with coconut. I was wondering can I bake coconut into the cake itself? Would it work like chocolate chips where you just add them in during the mixing process? Thanks for any and all suggestions.

I had put my chops put in the fridge at 12 noon today. I need them fully defrosted by 5. What's a faster way to defrost them, under cold water or let them stay in the fridge? Someone had told me to put them in the microwave, but wouldn't that cook them?

If not...you don't know what you're missing out on ! My mom made them for me when I was a kid and I still make them every now and then. You just melt the butter in the pan and throw the peanut butter and jelly sandwich in there and grill it exactly like you would a grilled cheese sandwich. The peanut butter oozes out and gets all hot and melted. Soooooo good with a big ol' glass of milk. Yummo !!

I was thinking maybe just a basic metal pot, but I'm not terribly knowledgeable about cooking related things. If there are special conditions to whatever substitute is suggested, I'll need to know that as well. Thanks.

When useing fondant to cover the cake do you need to brush on any liquid, some recipes I have seen say yes and others don't specify. If so what could I use other than alcohol?

I live in a university residence and I find it increasingly difficult to eat well. I am blessed with a full kitchen in my dorm though so at least I can cook. The problem is I'm not good at it! If anyone has some good and fairly simple meals and recipes I can follow, please share them with me!! Any helpful websites you've come across would be helpful as well, although I prefer recipes you've tried and know it's good. Thanks a lot.

Oh, and I should mention that I'm not a big fan of meat; vegetarian recipes would be especially helpful
