Hi there - I'm planning to make paella tonight but have a question for you. I need to know what the ratio rice/stock is. I'm using 'Bomba' rice variety - say 100 grams: how much stock should I use? I cook my paella in the oven. Pls help!

Has anyone ever tried a different ingredient in place of lard for tamale masa? If so...what was the ingredient? How did it come out? Thanks!

I don't cook, period. I've boiled an egg once! (yeah, sad but true) Yet, I'd like to learn how to make some delicious sweets for a special someone.
Anyway, I'm looking a free, really good DETAILED WEBSITE that is easy to follow, anyone have any recomendations?

How do you make your meatloaf? I never like it much as a kid, but as an adult I love it. Unforunately, mom passed away before I could get her recipe.

What's in yours?

So I finally learned how to make it, it tasted great, the only problem is that some of the flour and egg mix is still soggy when I take it out the pan. it's dark brown so I know I shouldn't cook it any longer, what's the trick to making it crispy and crunchy??

my recipe,
thin steaks, put them in egg, then seasoned flour, heat them up in oil (i used olive oil, does that make a difference?) 4 to 5 min on each side till dark golden brown.

As a bachelor, I don't usually keep Peanut Butter around but, for some reason, I now have a craving for some and will buy some tomorrow.
I'm thinking of getting Skippy Smooth (since Jiffy has that samonella scare and recall).

My question:
What should I buy to go with the Peanut Butter...
what's the best cracker?
Yes, I might get some bread and jelly for PB&J but, I'd like to just spread some PB on a cracker.
What are your suggestions?
