If not...you don't know what you're missing out on ! My mom made them for me when I was a kid and I still make them every now and then. You just melt the butter in the pan and throw the peanut butter and jelly sandwich in there and grill it exactly like you would a grilled cheese sandwich. The peanut butter oozes out and gets all hot and melted. Soooooo good with a big ol' glass of milk. Yummo !!

I've introduced this little piece of heaven to several people that thought it sounded weird but after they tried it...they were hooked forever.

Azarus_ag : Nahhh...you can't achieve the same affect from just toasting the bread. The bread has to be slightly soaked in that butter (real butter) while grilling. It gets all crunchy but a little chewy and buttery and oozey. God...I gotta have one right now. As long as you don't overdo it...one of these tremendously fattening things every now and then is OKAY !!!

NOTES : Elvis loved his “peanut butter and nanner” sandwiches. At a hefty 36 g

I have had them - they are super messy, but delicious!
My favourite (even though I'm allergic to it!) is a peanut butter and chocolate sandwich. I usually use crunchy peanut butter and Nutella (or other chocolate/hazlenut spread). It winds up tasting like a peanut butter cup, and it's absolutely delicious... even better if you put the filling in nice and thick and use a pocket-sandwich maker to keep it all from running out the sides. MMmm..
All the best!

I have not tried it before, but sounds great! Rachel Ray did this, but before frying, she dipped the sandwich in an egg mixture, so it is like a stuffed peanut butter and jelly french toast! Thought you might want to try it that way too!

Have & will always. Its good too if you add a few banana slices between the peanut butter & jelly or just skip the jelly for that one. Gotta go get me one now !

My friend cooks it in the skillet like a grilled cheese. Is this what you are talking about? Or on an actual charcoal grill? Either way it sounds great.

Yes, I had an Aunt that used to make them for us when I was child. I remember them being yummy with a cold glass of milk.
