I'm thinking of signing up for some cake decorating classes where you can become certified. It costs about $70 a class, but supplies are included. After watching Ace of Cakes on the Food Network channel, I think i've decided I want to do this as a sideline for extra money with my free time, it looks like a lot of fun, and you get to make other people happy with what you make. My question to you is would you do it at this cost for the reasons stated above? Why or why not? Thanks!

The last time my husband used my B.C. cookbook to cook, he removed the page (the book is a three ring binder) and the page was lost. The recipe I always used for Chicken Pot Pie was on the other side of the page. I've found some recipes online that are similar, but *not quite* the same as Betty's recipe.

My book is a three ring binder with a picture of a roast chicken on the front (it's about 10ish years old). Does anyone have this book who would be willing to type the recipe out for me? PLEASE! I'm tired of making chicken pot pie with mushroom soup and all kinds of weird stuff--I want to make it the way I used to--the real thing with chicken stock, milk, peas and carrots, etc.. Thank you!

I used to make a carrot bread that used shredded carrot, flour, oil, and sugar and cinammon and was baked in a bread loaf pan. It was delicious but I lost the recipe some time ago. Does anyone have a similar recipe?

On the Betty Crocker Super Moist Cake Mix it asks for a 1/2 cup of vegetable oil. Well i do not have vegetable oil, but I have vegetable shortening. If I melt the shortening to a half of a cup will that be the same as a 1/2 cup of vegetable oil? I am worried because shortening hardens back up and I do not want my cake to taste nasty do to the fact of the shortening.
