we are redoing our kiychen and the only way i can cook is using my slow cooker so i need recipes that i can use that don't require browning hambuger first

Browning is a two step process, one is for color, and one is to render the fats out of the ground meat. In the case of a C'pot, no harm if not browned because of the length of cooking time and fat can be skimmed off if need be or emulsified with the liquids and flour (masa) for sauce or gravy

Yes, you should brown meat first in a skillet, maybe an electric skiller. Browning or searing the meat seals in the juices & makes the gravy or Au ju better flavor & color.
Add lots of onions.

Everybody has a BBQ, or
use an electric skillet.
They have an electric hot plate
at Walmart, doesn't cost much.

Don't think you ever need to brown it. Just makes it look prettier.
