Marriage & Divorce - 11 October 2007

i just ended my marriage of ten years, two years ago. i have five children with my ex-husband. i married at nineteen years old. unable to finish my studies in an exclusive college for girls and gave up my career as a varsity team captain. he never went to college. i was blinded by the love and attention i never had with anyone--family, friends; blinded by the dream of having a complete family that i never had. never knew the feeling or lived the life of a young woman because i was a mother already at a young age. never had the chance to have another boyfriend. he was my first boyfriend. i was attractive then. people close to me would always say that. i'm double my size then and it's almost impossible to bring myself back to how i looked before.

now that i'm out of that relationship, i begin to realize what i have lost. it's flattering to hear when my collegues would say that i look seven years younger my age, considering that i look like a humongous beach ball. but i'm lonely inside

She started by chatting and emailing with him about 3 months ago, keeping it all secret from me. She grew distant from me, and shared details of her life (multiple times daily) with him. They had cybersex once, and both think it was a mistake. She shared erotic dreams with him (that involved him), and talked about our marriage. She's tried to say goodbye to him 3 times now, and says it's finally over. Now, she's admitting the sex part was cheating, but that they were truly just friends, that nothing would have happened. She's trying to turn this on me, saying I have insecurities about her being friends with other men. We set up counseling and both want it to work, but I'm running out of hope. BTW, she's pregnant with our 2nd, and we do love eachother. Has anyone else been through this? Did it work out? It's been 10 days since I confronted her. How long will this take???

I have been living with my boyfriend for almost 7 yrs now and we have 1 little girl, he has a little boy from another woman who i look after as my own. About 3 yrs ago he broke up with me because i was fighting with his girlfriend, he brought her to the house while i was there and i beat her up. he chased me from his house got custody of my child and just throw my personal belongings outside. he would go abroad with different girls and spend money like nobody's business
i stayed with some realtives within the area, got myself a job and trired to move on. I used to go to his house to see my child and then 1 yr later he came begging to take him back, i did take him back because i loved him and i had missed my little girl. now i 've been with him for over 2 yrs now and his money has run out, the kids are not going to sch, i pay for everything in the hse,i don't have a car if am late 5 minutes he he shouts at me and tells me to leave him and stay by myself. am cheating on him and all.

we are classmates.now she calls me her bro or friend.i am deep in love with her.i've seen 2 of other friends falling 4 her,not gaining her heart but losing her friendship 4 ever..i am 100%sure she'll get desperate much more than she got from those two bcoz i am closer to her than they were.she regards me as sb to whom she can sympathize about friends who keep falling for her;i can not imagine anyone to whom she can sympathize about me falling 4 her.we r 2 more years together in university.i want to be at her side and protect her, even if she gets engaged with a boy,i want to protect him too.i dont know wut will happen to me after bidding farewell in the last day without letting her know my real feelings.i cant tell her about my love even after finishing university;she may need my help as a friend or bro then, too.even thinking about the last days make my eyes rain.i cant risk upsetting her;wanna always make her laugh, wanna be invited to her marriage n c her laughing in those white robes,

By that I mean, how long does it take for that feeling of euphoria, you know the one I mean, to disappear? How long did it take for that rush of endorphins to disappear after you got married? You know, that feeling you had when you were first dating your future spouse, and every day you'd wake up thinking about them, and get a rapid heartbeat when you were finally around them that day, and you'd go to bed without a care in the world, smiling. And if you didn't wait forever (like five-ten years) to get married, it was still there right up until you got married. How long after that did it go away, and transform into a downtrodden complacency? "I'm tired".

The reason I ask is this: All the advice I see on here for couples on the brink is "maybe you need to get away", "schedule some time off for yourselves" or similar. When you were first dating, you didn't need that, because that was every day. Are we humans not meant to be monogamous? Does it downtrod our psyche's?

6 Months ago I found out that my wife was having an affair. It took me 4 months to find out who he was. My wife told me that if I have any contact with him or his wife that she will leave me. So here is the question. Do I tell His wife or not ?

Sometimes, my guy lasts too long in bed. I know that alot of women complain that their men don't last long enough, but there is such a thing as "Lasting too long" if you know what I mean! After reaching towards the second hour, I'm beyond exhausted.

And most of the time, it doesn't matter how long he goes for. The orga-sm just isn't going to happen.

The funny thing is, I showed him a Cosmo Article where it talked about how we don't always need marathon s-e-x.

Afterwards, he shortened it dramatically, which I'm happy with. (Just as long as it's not 5 minutes and bang, all of the time...)

Why do men think that we want sex to go on forever? Sometimes, it's nice...but not every single time!

How many of you can relate? Any thoughts?

my husband is attending a national conference with his union.. please no jokes about him having an "affair". I feel jealous that he is having a good time with the connections he's building.. I know he is a very charming person and the reason he joined the conference is bec. he's having problems with his employer. I can hear from our conversation that he is very glad that he went and the quality of the people but I feel jealous that he is having so much fun... and that he is "hanging out" with them.. has anybody had this same emotion?

This is the story. I'm a manager at a big corporation. The problem is that I've always wanted my male staff who is now married to his ugly wife (btw is now pregnant) to go out with one of my best friends. Since I don't like his wife I pretty much don't care what happens to her or her baby. They can get hit by a bus for all I care. All I care about is what happens to my male staff and his future. I've been speaking to my best friend because she's really interested in Kevin. She doesn't care so much to what happens to his wife or child. What can I do to get rid of his wife and child? My father is the best lawyer in town. I'm thinking about asking him to represent me and threaten Kevin's wife of maybe leaving her husband. All she needs to tell her husband is that she doesn't love him anymore that she made a huge mistake in getting married to him. As for the growing child I'm going to threaten her to have an abortion or else she got hell to pay.

We've been together for 4 years, married for 3 months. Guess I knew what I was getting into. We're the best of friends, but our communication sucks when there is a problem. I usually don't discuss any issues I have with him because he gets defensive and I hate fighting. I feel like giving up sometimes. I try to talk about it with him and the next hour or day he just pretends like it never happended....never bring it up again, acts like everything is fine.
I'm losing my mind.
Please help!

I was married...it didn't work out! While i was living with my ex I got pregnant from another man! (Yes my ex knows the kid is not his! However when I approached the father of my son (this was 6 years ago) he took one look at my son and said "I have the dominate gene...This kid is not mine" Which is fine... My ex has treated this boy like one of his own. (We have a son together who is 8). However the the other guy of son #2 has a niec that died of a rare canser. Should I have a paternity test to reaffirm my belief so that I can get the right kind of medical history for my son? I am happy with the ways things are with my ex and my 2 boys! But I don't want to put son # 2 at risk for my push-over-ness! Does any one have suggestions on the proper and most polite way to handle this?

My boyfriend and I have 2 kids together. We are constantly seperating and getting back together. We are both in our 20's and live in Texas. Right now we do not have too much money to spend so we can't afford to go just about anywhere. Also he only speaks spanish and a little bit of english so they would have to know both languages. He tells me that he loves me sometimes and I know that he wants us to get help so that we can make it. Where can we go to get the help that we need?

Sounds stupid, but my daughter, and god-daughter, have been having a minor disagreement. In their 20's now, but acting like they use to when they were kids, lol. Looking for a video about sisters, (which they are close like that), to send to both of them. Any of you know of any videos about sisters?

I have recently married, and have wanted children for as long as i can remember, my husband also wants to have children. But i have medical problems, and i have a limited chance of falling pregnant, my husband and i have seen a gyno, and plan to start treatment soon, but i have just landed my dream job, and would like to start my career, moving further in the company, and there wont be room for children if i continue this career to it's full potential! Should i stick with my dream of having children and starting a family? Or try new options, and look at my career? Or is my want of a career only because i have come to terms with the fact i may never have children anyway? i don't want to waste my companies time by going forward and leaving later! what should i do?
