what makes a person grow younger in self?

We were best friends, we got married out of friendship more than lusty passionate love. We have a large family together, he has two children and I have four. He has a son who is autistic and we both work full time jobs. Our life is extremely full but also very good. Our kids are all great, while having a special needs son isn't easy, it's rewarding and we go above and beyond for him. It's the little stuff that's killing us, I am OCD with a clean house (and I mean display home clean) and he isn't (at all), I am supermom and he is more passive aggresive, etc. I find myself being short and crabby with him and uninterested in him romantically but I am not sure why? I find myself nit picking everything about him to the point where when I look at him I get almost angry and he isn't attrative to me anymore. When I try to discuss our differences (very gently) he becomes angry and then pouts for days and I mean POUTS (like a child), What does all this mean?

if they had known the problems that were ahead of them because of an ex spouse? I am on one hand the luckiest lady in the world because of the man I am married to, however his ex is always causing problems and the children act out because of it.

I've been married 6 months. I have recently found out that my husand is Bipolar. He had an episode last month where he became violent. He has finally gotten help and is now on meds and doing great. However, he is now realizing that this was the cause of losing his previous wife.He calls my daughter by her daughter's name. He has in the past few months threw her in my face, telling me he wished he never told her to leave . I have a feeling there is unfinished business there for him. I think that since he is better he regrets not getting help in time to save his marriage withher. Since his outburst a month ago, my daughter is affraid of him. She fears his meds won't work or he'll relapse. Now she wants to go live with her father. What bothers me is that when I told my husband about it, he immediately told me I should leave and we shouldn't be married anymore. Why do I get t the feeling he wants me to go so he can see if he can make it work w/ his ex, and this was his out.

I have been with my boyfriend for 8 years. I have always took care of him like he was my child. I moved out of the house 3 months ago but I still see him and talk to him. He got laid off his job and then stupid me started paying his rent again and power bill. Well he has been lying to me. He is a liar that lies over and over and over. He can look so calmly at you when he is telling lies. Any way his ex started coming back around and he told me that it was just so he could see his daughter. The child is 9 and he signed away rights 7 years ago. I find out that the ex wife who is still married has been staying at the trailer with him that I am paying rent on. Well no more., I am not paying anything for him. I dont understand this mess. He has no job and no license and no transportation. He cant take care of himself much less a kid. What do you think will happen in this situtation??? Am I doing the right thing?? I am just going to quit going to check on him.

OK ,I haven't complained in a few months and tried not to about pety stuff but here is my question. My husband turned 40 back in the spring and I threw this huge surprise party for him and took me a couple months to plan, etc. My 40th b-day just passed and instead of a party for me that weekend my husband was planning his own party at a bar for people he worked with to come to because he was changing departments within the same company!! So I thought maybe(just maybe) that this was his way to get me there so I would be surprised. But no it actually was for him. Then another girl from his work actually planned for us to leave that bar and go somewhere else where she said friends were. So we went there and Surprise! Another party for him!My question is should I be a little mad or just disappointed that he could put that much effort into planning his own party for his co-workers and not one for me? Or is this pety?I probably wouldn't even be upset if he did not have this party for himself!

My husband and I have been married for 6 years. He still acts like a kid. I thought he would grow up eventually, but hes going to be 30 this year and acts like he is 18 years old. It really is a big turn off. I get tired of being the one that takes care of everything. I also make a lot more money than he does, and I don't feel I should have to comprimise who I am so he can act like a man. I have stopped "nagging" him about helping around the house, because I am not his mother, hoping this would make him grow up, but I think I have made it worse. What are some ideas, without being submissive to him, to get him to grow up?

There are more young mothers now than there were three years ago. I mean young as in NOT EVEN 18YRS OLD!!!!!!! There is an old saying that holds true throughout time. " Just because you CAN have children, DOES NOT mean that you should." I mean, how immature are these people today?

My husband says he's not interested in porn and he's right for the most part. He looks up still photos (some clean/some not ) of girls like Sara Evans, Sara Michelle Gellar, Angie Harmon, Jewell....but then he'll look up girls in thongs and stuff like that. He also has a weird thing for FLEXIBLE girls-usually clothed. Teenage gymnists. I've told him that I'm up for anything. I'll watch porn with him (big NO-he doesn't like porn or I guess watching the acts of it). I swear he only sees me as Ms. Goody 2 shoes & can't see me any other way.
I try-I do my hair & make up everyday (he doesn't notice) I wear shorts/skirt if it's warm enough, jeans that he likes...to no avail. I'm not heavy & I'm a pretty enough girl (he calls me beautiful daily). So why does he do this? I've asked him so many times not to, that it hurts my feelings, but he still does. It's just creepy. Staring at a face on the screen..
Here's a pic of me

This wkend was my wife's bday party. She's sorta young so please take that into consideration. She invited '15' people and only 7 showed up & she is pissed, disappointed, feels let down & I don't know what to do? She is bringing me down with her 'unhappiness' as well & I don't feel like being with around that. Her negative attitude isn't just with this... She pretty much picks out the negative out of EVERYTHING. How do I make her change her view point on things & rather be happy for the people that did take time out of their day & appreciate them? I know if this continues, I don't want to be around this. I've talked to her MANY MANY times about her negative attitude & never being happy, but she seems to understand where I'm coming from & then BAM, she goes back to her ways.... What to do? Please help

Capable of love, and seeks it. If the divorce set him back a little bit in his achieving his goals, and he's just not financially stable to provide you with the finer things in life as of right now. Would you date him stick it out, and see him as a guy with potential or would you think of him as a loser who needs to have himself completely together before he decides to date

Recently, a friend and I were talking about our summer activities. He told me he went on vacation with his ex-wife and their 2 children ages 15 and 17. The ex-wife asked him at the last minute and he said he decided to go because he had not been on a vacation and needed a break.

The brief history is that they divorced because she had multiple affairs and he says they were not compatible. He continually says he wants nothing to do with her after he is finished paying child support and tries to keep things peaceful because he does not want her to request more support. On the other hand he felt that taking a "family" vacation" was a great idea. He admits that the ex-wife feels she made an error in divorcing him. Sometimes he says she is a liar, on the other side he'll say, "we're family".

We had dated in the past and when I asked him why would he go on a vacation with someone who had treated him so poorly, he accused me of being insecure and jealous. Who is really insecure?

I was working in a nursing home and I told one of the residents I was engaged...He told me always put your husband FIRST in your life! protect and nurture your children, but always put your husband first. I ask him why? when a mother's natural reaction is to side with the kids most of the time. He said because Your husband came before them and "ideally" he'll come after them. When they're grown up and have moved on with their own lives.

I really had to think about this and he's right! or is he?

I'll try to make this short. When I was 17 I got pregnant. My bf dumped me. My future husband was a friend of mine and was there for me and my daughter. We got married and were together until she was 9...that's when he cheated on me. In our years together her real dad took her every other weekend and his family has been good to her. My husband was not the best person in the world by any means... temper issues and other things.
When I left him he was still seeing my daughter... he in her eyes was dad because he did things with her... was interested in her... her real dad plays video games and doesn't do much else... shows no real interest.
After we got divorced my X took her to a party and was playing shot games with her (she had kool-aid). I was really mad... in my book you don't teach a kid how to play shot games at 9 years old.
When I tried to talk to him he called me every name in the book.. said I was just trying to push her out of his life... which is not the case.

I just started going back to church and taking my 3 kids also. When we got back home, the minute we walked in the door, my husband would complain about whatever came to mind. After only 10 minutes of being home I told him that he hadn't said one nice thing since we had been home and I asked him if he had anything good to say. He said he had nothing at all good to say. So, I asked him if we needed to leave and come back when he DID have something good to say. It just upset me because after having a peaceful morning at church, I had to come home to that. I felt as he was offended in some way and if that's what I have to come home to every time after church, should I even attempt to go anymore?

Don't bash me and tell me to leave-this questions is for women who have been through an affair and either tried to work it out or are currently still together. How long was it before you actually feel back in love? When do you stop thinking about it every single freakin day? They say an affair can actually make you marriage stronger, do you find that is true? Or do you feel that your marriage isn't as good as it once was? And last but not least, how many of you tried and gave up and left? How long was it befor eyou decided to quit trying?
