I have unfortunately been married twice; however, I can also say I have have been blessed to have been married twice...
whilst my first marriage didn't last, I will cherish the 21 years forever. There was love; there was more good than bad; and I lived, learned, and grew. There was a time when I could have never imagined being with anyone else; now I can't imagine life without the man I'm with now. We'll be married two years next month and I adore him.
You don't have to be married/divorced to have people cause problems in your life. We marry for a reason; and when we no longer have a reason to stay, the least we can take with us is the reason we were there in the first place.

I knew that our marriage was not going to last before I even met him. But, I also knew that I was still suppose to marry him. Maybe my life would have been different if I had not accepted his marriage proposal and went out with the medical student instead that seemed so interested in me. Maybe I would be a podiatrist right now with a home practice so that I could stay at home with our kids. I did not deserve someone like him. But, that is just day dreaming. The reality remains. My husband gives this pitiful excuse as to why I should not have accepted his marriage proposal. I just don't see it that way. I did what I was suppose to do. And now, our marriage is about to end in just a few weeks. But, if I had my life to live over again, I'd still marry him, knowing all that I know now, because I love him.

I envy you, and am happy for you that you found someone you truely love and consider yourself so lucky.
I would never have married my current spouse, I hope maybe if I find someone else that I'll feel the same way you do about them.
