Depends?

Ex of how many years and why did they break up and what kind of "talk"?

I have recently got the contact info of my high school sweetheart (18 years ago) and we have e-mailed and caught up with each others lives! BUT we talk about our spouses and children AND my wife reads the e-mails (we share an e-mail NO private e-mails).

SO, who, where and why? It can be okay or it could cause trouble!

sure that's fine. they are both adults and obviously he is your husband so there should be nothing to worry about. unless there are feelings that are still there. if you have good communication with your spouse, then he should have no problem answering whatever questions you have. it's not like you're insecure, but you would like to know if things are strictly platonic, unless he starts acting strange and starts saying and doing things he's never done before. trust him as he would you if the roles were reversed

Do they have a child together? If not then no I don't think it's right but if they have a child together they will always talk.Ask him how he feels about you talking to your ex-boyfriends!

I think it depends on the situation myself. Why is he talking to his ex?Was he talking to her still when you met him.Try talking to him about it if it bothers you.I wouldn't put up with that for long.

only if they have a kid together-- a bond that they have to talk--otherwise--- it depends... is it in passing..like they see each other on the street, and say...hey..whats up--whatcha been up to... blah blah blah.. or what are they discussing???
IF they are making an EFFORT to call each other on the phone to "talk' ... now..thats a problem!
