stop putting in the effort once they are married. Time and time again, friends complain that they no longer get hugged and their husbands just become lazy with the relationship. I won't be getting married!

I have been married for five years now, and have been with my wife in a relationship for 10 years. The thing is I honestly don't think I've ever loved her. I met her at university and she was my first girlfriend. I remember trying to break up with her at university, but I wasn't prepared for her emotional response and I freaked out. Over time I decided that we got along very well, and I adopted a sort of fatalistic approach to life. I ended up marrying her due to a visa issue - I had to move to another country for work reasons. Things were going fine until recently. I met someone at work that sparked some emotions inside of me that I didn't believe I was capable of. My new friendship hasn't stepped into the physical realm, and I don't think it will. However, I can't stop thinking about her, it's become obsessive. When these feelings developed, I explored my life and realised that the last 10-years of my life have been a blur. My wife is a saint and I feel terrible. She is 31. No kids.

my fella used to be close with his exes in laws, and he told his ex mother in law that he didnt want to know them now they have broken up but they could always see his son, which is fair enough because i dont really want his ex inlaws hanging around the place all the time, and for some reason his ex mother in law wouldnt tell his ex father in law, but my fella still handed the phone straight onto his son when they called, and then the calls stopped for ages and they didnt seem to want anything to do with him and on occasions his ex motther in law called only to speak top martin when i said he wsnt there to talk to she never asked for her grandson my fella promised he would t6ell his father in law soon and then when they came to pick up their grandson to go see them this week the father in law came in and martin just spoke to him like anything and they even hugged! its really upset me cos they are in his past and his ex wife is trying so hard to split us up and then he went mad at me!

When you look at happily married couples, the ones that do have some problems but are in general very much in love with eachother and have loving children and then compare them with "pathetic" singles, who can never find someone to be in a relationship with, what is the major difference between these people? What are your thoughts on this?

I realize that my husband is the boss of a self-owned pizza place, and he has many teenaged workers there. He has become "friends" with them, and I've accepted that to a certain extent. However, tonight he got a phone call from one of his teenaged-girl worker's sister at 1:30 in the morning. Is this normal? He has become overly attached to his crew, and likes to spend time with them outside of work. I don't think he's cheating on me, but I don't know for sure. He's tired all of the time and doesn't seem to have any energy when it comes to spending time with me or our children. What's going on?

The cheating spouse has confessed, left the marriage multiple times, the betrayed spouse knows the length of the affair, seen the evidence, read the emails; yet reconciles always. Why? Why would someone settle to live with a liar and cheater? The reason I heard was that they have been together so long! That they have memories and friends that would judge them! Why would someone give up a happy future just to hang on memories from the past? No young children.

Me & my wife have been married for a year.. & together as a couple for roughly 5 years. I was into the relationship at 1st & she was so stoked about gettin married that i didn't wanna do it. Eventually i did marry her, but w/ no wedding, & only so she could have my insurance. I wasn't ready to get married & she has ALOT of medical problems such as R.A. (Arthritis), Sytic Fibrosis, & a couple of degenerative diseases. (sorry dont know how to spell all the medical stuff) Our relationship fell apart a month after we got married, & i moved out. Then i got a place with a couple of girls (just tryin to make her jealous & divorce me) She didn't do it.
I want out. I wanna move on with my life w/out her. We are no longer together now & she knows we wont get back together, EVER.
I want her to do it so i dont have to pay lawyer fees, & so i dont have to pay for her insurance.
I know she will contest & make me pay out my butt, this is why i want her to do it.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!

When we first started dating, he was a virgin and I wasn't. I was up-front and honest with him that I had been with 4 other guys previous to him, and he was ok with it.

I don't know why, but 2 years into our marriage, he's now feeling like he's "missed out." He often wonders what it might be like to have sex with someone else, and he keeps making comparisons between himself and the other guys from my past. He says they were probably better in bed than he is, and it makes him feel inadequate.

is this normal? what can i do to reassure him??

I've been married for 4 years now, and since we got married problems started. He wanted his family to be given the most importance but Im the only child of my parents so I feel a lot of responsibility for my parents too. We come from two different cultures,so initially his mother was very harsh to me because my culture was different from hers. I started disliking her. In return, he was unhappy with me. After sometime, we started growing apart and we were like two roommates in a house. No physical intimacy, no affection. Sometimes he would want to have some intimacy, when it pleased him but i wouldn't feel up for that.He grew distant too. Then I moved to a different country, still married to him, for better job perspectives. After sometime, I got closer to a man who works in the same office(it's a big corporate office). We started meeting after office and slowly we grew very close. We love each other but can't decide what would be the best for us. We have huge age difference too.

I've been married for a few years to a great guy who is my best friend. But he's a lot older than me (18 years) and I got married young (22) and I'm starting to miss the fact that I never got a chance to go on a lot of dates or play the field. We're both independent people, and my husband once told me that if I had an affair he would understand. I'm very drawn to someone right now, and temptation seems to be poping up everywhere. I'm not religious, so don't play the "you'll go to hell" card, because I'm not concerned with that. Is it ok to give into temptation once or twice to get it out of my system? I'm afriad that if I don't, I'll go nuts and take it out on my husband.

Isn't there a big picture here that he's not getting? How about when it becomes an actual affair? Would you beat up the other man, guys? There must be something wrong in your marriage to cause your wife to even think about liking another man, not to mention having sex with him! Makes sense, eh?

My ex says that I am the closest person he has been with in years and that I have always been very good to him. He is proud to call me a friend and he will never forget about me. He hopes to keep in touch with me and he does hope to come visit me and see how I am doing sometime.

he's the only one that works, she just goes to school. i understand she's responsible for a clean house like doing laundry, dishes, etc. my question is should he have to clean up after himself AT ALL? if so, to what extent? or should she be solely responsible for cleaning up completely after him? kids aren't involved so it's just him and her.

For some reason, probably because I was raised to be christian, I was always told that bars are awful places to meet your spouse.

I wasn't looking, but I did meet my partner a bar, but I tell my family and aquaintances that we met at church. I just can't be bothered to deal with the hopelessness of christianity. So, honestly did you meet your partner at a bar or club and what do you tell people?

Asking strangers for advise because sometimes an outside perspective has better outcomes. I love my husband, but sometimes I have feelings of discust. He has situations, tones of them, and he's not helping himself. He's an ex-military that is unemployed, criminal background makes it more difficult for him to get a job. So guess who the bread winner is? He's gotten himself in even more trouble and digging himself in a hole. I've asked him about self employment, but he's not taking any steps towards that direction. Is he merely living off of me? Sucking on like some parisite? Using me? Am I having illusions that he even loves me? Leaving for hours on end without really giving me full knowledge as to where he's going. We've talked, or should I say argued about these problems but not getting anywhere. I am scared of what his reaction would be if I told him I wanted out of this marriage, and no, he has never been abusive, but he has thrown objects. How can I end this marriage safely?
