We are close to breaking up and I am close to moving out. I would not intentionally be a deadbeat because I would still spend money on my son; I just would not be giving it to her. This is solely her choice and she wants to sign an official paper stating that she doesn't want support from me.
I am thinking that even if she signs anything, her parents will still try to get the courts or police or whoever they can to get me to pay regardless of what she says or signs.
So my final question is would I still have to pay child support to her if she signed papers stating she doesn't want money from me? I am not giving up custody; it would be joint custody because I don't give up on my son. He is still my son. Her parents do not have any custodial rights, although I am thinking that they may try to force her to get money from me anyways.

I love my mom (not my step-dad because he's a pedophile), but the truth is is that I have so much unhidden anger towards both of them.My parents would give me guilt trips and make me feel like I was a bad girl, so I would hide my anger and try to give them leeway. I would say"Oh they're not so bad, at least they're doing what's best for me." I was even praising my pedo step-dad because my mom brainwashed me to treat him as a "life saver." But I'm sick of it! My therapist even said my parents are a reason why I'm the way how I am today. If any of you read my topic about my mom choosing to stay with my step-dad, and thinking that money, reputation and living a rich life is more important than my happiness, than you know why I'm pissed right now. Not to mention that she chose that sicko to marry, brought him in the house, and forced us to pretend that he's our real dad. She keeps saying "I married him because we needed a house." So having a house is more important than what happens to

every year my dad gets a real christmas tree. its our tradition.
this year my mom and dad split up. and my dad does not live with us any more. so for some reason my mom decided to get a fake christmas tree. at first i didn't want to because it was braking family tradition. but now that my mom has allready got one, i really like it because, it was soooo... much easier. i mean there was no pine needles to clean up, we didn't have to trim it, and we don't have to water it. is it wrong that we are braking family tradition? but then again i miss the smell of a real tree, the feeling that we have one and the fact that it was family tradition. which part of me is right? please tell me how you truly feel because i really miss my dad but nobody seems to take me seriously.

My 14 year old daughter did not study well for an important test in an honors class. She wants me to pick her up from school because she feels unprepared. Do I pick her up and save her grade? Or, do I make her learn her lesson and take the hit on the huge test grade?

I stayed home from church once. My mil went to church that morning. So as I was there I saw that the kitchen was a big mess. It is mostly messy like this every Sunday. So I decided to clean up the kitchen. I did. After I was finished the kitchen was spotless and neat. Well, my sil and my mil both returned from church. My sil came into the kitchen and cooked a big Sunday meal. When she was finished cooking, every dish that I washed was right back in the sink like as if I did not wash nothing. The kitchen was a mess. My sil did not bother to clean up the kitchen. She left it dirty and messy. She went back home to Florence, South Carolina. I was so hurt because I took my time and cleaned the kitchen. My mil and sil seemed to not appreciate it. I was not looking for recognition. I just wanted the kitchen to look nice for a change. Plus I wanted the kitchen to look nice for my sil since she was visiting for that day. Did you think they noticed that the kitchen was clean?

Okay, this is not a whiny question. I really need some input. It is obvious my father does not respect me. He puts me down in front of others. He doesn't apologize, even when accidentally physically hurting me. He has ignored me for 3 months now. So, I get it. He doesn't respect me. How do I handle this. With the holiday's approaching, I may be stuck not even attending the family gathering due to his treatment. FYI, I go above and beyond to show him respect. I'm truly at a loss. How do you participate in family affairs when the patriarch does not respect you.

Every time I walk past my mil's room she would close the door. Or either she would be on the telephone and when she sees me approach she will close her door. I have asked her about this and she acts like she does not know what I am talking about. I am getting tired of going through this with her. When others pass her room door she does not do this at all. Am I her favorite pick?

My brother is in hs forties and is a member of Yahoo answers. He has many more best answers than I and his responses seem thoughtful and intelligent.

But...

I visited my mother yesterday. My brother still lives with mum and dad. They are elderly and frail and he does not do enough to help them round the house. His bedroom is an absolute pig sty, looking almost as if a complete and utter drug addict lived there. He has always been this way but in recent years has become much worse. There are weeks worth of takeaway lying about there and once he vomitted on the floor and DID NOT CLEAR IT UP. The stain remains to ths day!!!

Dad is in hospital now and is quite ill. Brother will not visit him as he is "afraid of hospitals". More likely he likes to get to the pub in the evening and has no time for dad, who worked all his life to support us.

Question is this: How can someone who, in real life, is a complete scumbag give such a convincing pretence of decency?

Last night I was browsing the net on my mums computer, just looking at stuff, checking emails. They were all in bed.

I went to the kitchen and got a glass of orange juice and then went back. Two minutes later and I spill all of the orange juice over the laptop. At first it carried on working ok but then a few minutes later it crashed and shutdown. Now it is completely dead.

I came to work this morning and have not heard anything yet. She probably won't notice until this afternoon. I have heard that if you spill liquid on a computer it is unrepairable.

This computer has all of her business documents on, precious photos, important documents etc and it cost her £500 which she only bought last year.

I am seriously screwed aren't I? My questions are:

Should I just be honest, own up to it and take the heat and probably have to pay for it (even though I can't really afford it)?

Or should I just plead complete ignorance?

Is it likely that the computer is beyond repair?

My brother and his girlfriend have a 2.5yr old boy.

He has recently split with her and she has moved back home with her mum and disabled brother.

She has another brother who is NOT allowed to visit her son as he was charged with an assualt against a child. This is through social services and all above board.

We have since found out he is seeing my brothers son and has been seeing him behind my familys back for months.

The second problem is my brother was FASELY accused of "touching" an ex-girlfriends child (not his child) as he broke up with her, she reported him and then later claimed it was because she was jelous, the charges where dropped and she was taken into custody for making false claims against him. She was charged and later released.

Now he has this hanging over his head, so when his son was born social services automatically got involved, they kept in their lives monitoring the situation until his son was 8 months. Now they dont have visits etc

Really worries about my step daughters behaviour when she comes to see her father, This happens every other weekend. Me and my partner feel that she is being told by her mother that she isnt loved by him before she comes to see us this causes her to cry before we collect her, We have both reasured her that she is loved and we are both here for her. I feel it is getting harder because she has started acting like she is a baby and keeps telling her father that she loves him constanly and if we leave the house with out him to go to the shop she kisses him not once but about 7 or 8 times and then repeats that she loves him. I really feel for her because she is a lovely girl. Her mother must be telling her alot of horrible things it is unfair to her. Please can someone give me some advice on this as I feel Im at my wits end?

My ex fiance and I have a 17 month old daughter..He's met her twice. I have gone out of my way to try to involve him, even had her first birthday party at his parent's house. I have sent pictures, cards and gotten no response. In June I asked for help with daycare and he said he would see..I waited and waited and finally told him he was a jerk and I would let the attorney general handle it. I tried tonight to talk to him on yahoo i/m to see if we could be cordial and work things out to no avail. My question is could I just let the attorney general handle my support case and just hire a lawyer to do my custody? I'd like sole physical custody of our daughter, but I will allow visitation..Im in Texas if that makes any difference. Also the father is going to college in Alabama should I give the Child support officers his college address or permanent address in Texas? Will they still make him pay something even if he is not working and being supported by his parents? He is 24 years old.

my story is kinda hard to explain but i'll tell you the basics,i have three kids,i was put out of my husbands house along with my kids because of some other affair he was having, and when i got mad he called the police to tell me to leave,so i had to leave with my 3 kids,no family to go to,i went to a friends to stay but someone called dhs because the house was too small for so many people and the kids were sleeping on the floor,i told dhs it was only temporary but they said i needed to find a better place for my kids,so i called a friend that i knew could fit us and had plenty of room in her house, but she said she could only take the kids,so i took the kids over there and my friend gave some papers to sighn so that it would be legal, and i did, i just wanted my kids in a safe place, until i got back on my feet.
now that i can,im trying to get them back and i have all this legal stuff to do,its not like they were taken from me,or is there a difference?

Please Read because I need all the help I can get:
My sister is a Freshman in High School & I am a Junior, we both go to the same school & she is a very pretty girl & she goes with this blind guy who is a 2-year senior (yes, I know!). She says that people make fun of her because she goes out with him. Today I went into her school computer account (I know it wasn't right) & I read something were it said someone called her a B*tch and a whore for no reason, when I read it it hurt me too, because she is not a B*tch & a whore & it hurt me even more because she said it hurt her feelings but she was gonna try & stick it out . Then she tells my mother & me that people talk about her for no reason, even on the cheerleading squad, & no one even helps her when she needs it.
I went through a lot of social problems in my Freshmen year, but I'll be damned if I let it happen 2 my sister, I just want whats best for her & I don't want her to go through what i had to, what do I do or say to her?

my mum just had menopause about a year ago. and every once in awhile, she gets really violent. she threw plates at me, broke everything in the house. my dog had a little "accident" on the carpet just now. and she went berserk. she wanted to kill her. I had to lock that dog in my room.
is the whole violent thing just an effect from menopause?
she has been an angry person her whole life but she usually just screams and threatens people. since last year, she's been really violent.. like physically violent..
is there anything i can do to stop her being so angry?

My eighteen year old brother has know for years that he would have to find his own place once he reached the age of eighteen. I always thought that was fine since I moved out when I was eighteen and became more self-sufficient, responsible and independent for it. Unfortunately, he isn't like that. He asked me if he could live with me and I told him that if he did it would be because there was something he wanted to accomplish that would best be done in this city. So far, he's hardly done anything but watch tv. He doesn't want to go to school (he dropped out of high school a few times) and it seems like he's trying to not find a job. I don't care whether he studies and works part-time or works full time, but I don't want to have to support him when I'm going to school full time and working.
