I was raised by my father after my mother's death when I was 15 months old. I am a grandmother many times over now and if I had to describe in one word how I felt about Daddy I would say:
SAFE!!!!!!!

I'm not scared of my parents bcoz I never do something that shouldn't be done. But at times when I read storybooks & newspapers instead of studying I try to avoid my mom. My dad is quite short tempered & shouts at the drop of a hat. So that's why I'm a bit scared of the unwanted screaming & shouting.

Not of my Mom so much but I was terrified of my father when he got into one of his rages. He was a big man and sometimes when he had too much to drink he could get really mean and violent.

No one should be scared of his or her mom and dad. Your mom and dad are ur best friends. They will help you in need... which i don't think ur friends will do..

Growing up I was fearful of my father. I dealt with it by distancing myself from him. Looking back, I regret it. I understand now that he wasn't mean or hurtful, he was a father. He's a good man.

not of my mom so much but im terriefied of my dad when hes having a bad day or just mad ( he does not get drunk when hes angry)
