Sex is a natural part of life, and nothing to be embarrassed about... we are sexual beings and that's just a fact of life, hon.

There are many books written on a child's level about sex. You can find these at the library or local book stores (Barnes & Noble would be a good choice). I bought a couple for my sons about maturing and about sex. They are informative, and written at a child's level -- you didn't mention your child's age.

These books are also rather humorous at the same time. I really got a kick out of them.

You can let your child know that everyone comes in different sizes and shapes, hair colors, too. And that sex is something which might be saved for adulthood... in the meantime, i do hope you try to find some of these books for kids... they are helpful indeed.

take care.

if he isn't taking a sexual education course, he should be, at sixteen! A good book is Lynda Madaras's "what's happening to my body? book for girls" I know it's for girls, but it's really informative. It has pictures and such. I haven't read the boy's one, so you can look a t that too (same title, except for boys). also find a way to inform him about condoms, as he sounds like he may be informative for certain reasons......
take care.

I think your answers should depend on his age. Is he asking questions because kids at school have started to talk about it or because he is old enough to want to do it?
