Hello good people!
our niece is 12 (my hubby's brother's daughter)
my daughter is 16 and attends college.
she has friend(boy) who has told her that his mate is going out with her cousin (niece) and he is 17!!!
when my daughter looked up and said oh god she is only 12!
he was shocked as she has been telling boys that she is 16
she does look older as she is tall!!
he says he will tell his mate!
im concerned for his mate aswell as her as she could get him into serious trouble!
she is always looking for attention from OLDER lads

any suggestions as to make her change!!?

This girl is looking for trouble if that is the way she is behaving. She should be told about the facts of life as so that she learns to protect herself from predators.

Pull the guy aside and inform him that your niece is only 12 years old and tell him in vivid detail what the law says about him trying to mess with a minor. If he tries to tell you that he's a minor too, tell him there are cases where 16 and 17 year old guys have been charged as adults.

I think you need to tell your hubbys brother straight away, as he needs to know what his daughter is up to. I have a friend who is 14 but looks 19 and is getting a lot of attention. The parents were informed, and now they can kepp an eye on her. I highly recommend you do the same.

you need to talk to you're hubby's brother. She might only be looking for attention as you said but it could backfire on her with serious consequences

where are her parents? doesn't she have rules?

if they don't know where their twelve year old is, or who she is seeing, they aren't such good parents, are they?
