Please Read because I need all the help I can get:
My sister is a Freshman in High School & I am a Junior, we both go to the same school & she is a very pretty girl & she goes with this blind guy who is a 2-year senior (yes, I know!). She says that people make fun of her because she goes out with him. Today I went into her school computer account (I know it wasn't right) & I read something were it said someone called her a B*tch and a whore for no reason, when I read it it hurt me too, because she is not a B*tch & a whore & it hurt me even more because she said it hurt her feelings but she was gonna try & stick it out . Then she tells my mother & me that people talk about her for no reason, even on the cheerleading squad, & no one even helps her when she needs it.
I went through a lot of social problems in my Freshmen year, but I'll be damned if I let it happen 2 my sister, I just want whats best for her & I don't want her to go through what i had to, what do I do or say to her?

Your sister marches to the beat of a different drummer while the rest of the school is in lock-step... that alone makes her a target. The fact that you have just gone through this kind of stuff means that she could be targeted because you went through it... in other words, the culture of the area makes it okay to ostracize people for their relations. High school behavior doesn't make sense most of the time.

If she is actively being bullied, she needs to find the ringleaders and file a complaint against them. The school can be sued for not addressing this.

Maybe she can get some kind of certification for working with blind kids and have an organization's t-shirt to wear... some kind of appeal of authority.

Any chance that she can start taking tae-kwon-do?

stand up for your sister. Get your friends to stand up for her. There's no reason she should be made fun of from your account of the story. The only advice i can give you is stand up for your sister as opposed to just watching her get hurt. She might feel like she can take it by herself but just help her out without even telling her.

Hope it helps Big Sister

You've already done it. You have the spirit behind her. You may not know it, but you are probably a tremendous part of what keeps her strong. You don't have to tear down walls or fight her fights to help her, you just have to let her know you are on her side. Well done little sister, well done.

Have nice talk with ur sister and make her understand to keep away from such boys, concentrate in her studies and come out with flying colors,so everybody will respect her and stop calling names to her.she is not matured,so convince her with LOVE and AFFECTION.BEST OF LUCK.

Your fine and I'm sure your sister will be OK too. There's nothing much you can do. Things have a way of working themselves out. Just be there for her.

Sorry never been one who cares what others think. Who cares? As long as she is secure with herself, she and her true friends shouldn't listen.
