Family - November 2007

I recently had full custody of my youngest two children taken away from me. I now have to share partial physical custody with my ex-husband's parents, which only allows me to have 6 hours of visitation a week at their home. My problem is, I have no idea why my parenting is being questioned. I have never raised my voice to my kids. I concidered myself very lucky. They are too well be-haved for their ages (2 yrs/ 6 mo.). The only thing that happened was that I was physically, verbally, and emotionally abused by their father (none of which happened in front of the children). As much as I would love to bad-mouth my ex, I have to admit that he has never harmed our children in any way. Starting 3 weeks ago, his parents have been coming up with ways to be gone during my visitation hours, usually leaving me with 1 hour a week on an unscheduled day, or in most cases, weeks on end without seeing my babies. What kind of help is available to me to get my children back where they belong?

my dad really really loves my sis... and he pays no attention to me.. my sister is 19 and i'm 15... he is not with my mum any more and we both live with our mum... but every time we go to see him it's all about my sis... it hurts heaps he makes me feel like i'm not there... i hate it...

My marriage goes through difficult times because we are financially destitute from paying everything we make in legal fees that my husband's ex wife (who he left 14 yrs ago) keeps hounding us with. She's alienated his 15 yr old daughter and now the girl says she hates her dad (my husband) even though he was the most kind, devoted dad ever. We had a bad lawyer while the mega millionaire ex wife had a great one, and she got us sicked with $2000/mo child support for the one daughter plus all her healthcare. We are so desitute from this, we're about to lose our home. We can't afford it but CA has higher child support than any state and is very pro women/mothers and anti men/fathers. What do you do when you and another guy who is married like each other and want nothing more than just sex? I am in the situation and HE is married and still wants to mess around with me.. I like him alot and I think I would since he wants to. There is alot of sexual tension between us. He must not be very happy with his wife or something. My child has realized that the biological father is not the father the child has known. The child is confused and I was wondering if you have any advice. Also, the biological father choose not to be a part of the child's life, do you reveal that to the child also? By the way the child is almost 8 years old and has an awesome "Daddy" which is all the child has ever known.

my dad sucks.
ok so i wanted to stay after school to get extra credit on this english thing. what we had to do was go watch a movie after school and answer some questions about it.
but when me and my friends has already been in line for 15mins to the classroom they told us it was full and we'd have to leave
i didnt wanna tell my dad cuz i thought he'd get mad so i waited awhile before i called him
sso when he came to pick me up my friend asked " does he want to see the note" (it was a note the english teacher wrote explaining our situation) and my dad got all pissed and said that i was staying after school doing drugs and having sex and because my friend asked him is he wanted to see it he said thast i was going around telling all my friends how horrible he is

he accuses me of evey little thing!!!! like he thinks he knows whats going on with me when thts not it at all!! i try to tell him that but he just yells at me more

i know this guy who when he was young his dad use to belittle him if he failed at something. anytime the dad had a bad day would take it out on the kid, and never was around his kid much. even after work he made the kid stay in after school programs.any little problem and he would just explode on the kid makin him feel bad all the time. one time the kid even made some cookies for the father and the father didnt even touch them. is this normal? the mother left at 2 yo

I'll be having a baby soon with my hubby. His mom is completely against our being together due solely to my skin color--I'm Black, he's White. Does anyone have any ideas about how to get her to come around for her grandchild's sake? I don't want to have to tell him/her she's dead (at least to me.) Ok I am a 21 year old female and I like a 35 year old man. He is real sweet and caring it seems and he likes me too. We both play racquetball and I havent seen him at the gym for a couple of days and it has been driving me crazy and so I decided to call him and we ended up talking for 15 mins. on the phone. I told him I liked him and asked him how old he was and I said that age didnt matter to me and he said that life can work in funny ways sometimes. I am a 23 female who just graduated college in the spring. I am currently a grad student and a full time employee. I live at home both to save money and because I do not want to live alone and no one else I know is ready to move out yet. I have plans with a friend to move out this summer, however until then I need some help. My parents still treat me as the CHILD. I know that I am the child to them, but I need to be treated as an equal and talking to them about it doesn't work and paying them rent will defeat one of the reasons for living at home. I already keep my room neat, do my own laundry and make my own lunches. Is there anything else I can do to be seen as an equal rather than a child in the house?

Really need some advice here people and please be nice. My boyfriend and I have a 11 month daughter. She is his fist daughter but second kid has a son age three. She is also his parents first granddaughter. My parnets second grand daughter. His sister is having a girl and it will be here monday. I am afraid because his sister lives with his parnets that once there other grand daughter is born that they will neglect ours. She is throw and throw a nanas girl oh his side. On my side my sister lives with my mother and has a 7 month old boy and I feel like since they have moved in toghter she has nothing to do with my 11 month old and my daughter doesn't have much to do with her cause of this. Ok here is the situation, I am 14 and have a neice who is 2, she is very bad. she eats lotion,chapstick,anything she can grab. I was cut off from family, now cousins wife called, what do i do?
To make a long story short my extended family on my Mom side have verbally abused me, my mom, and sister for years.
4 years ago my Mom only became assertive and would not allowed to be bullied.
My 50 yr old cousin (Rob) his wife left a message cutting us off- saying "dont call us again".
Ever since no one has called, not even my Mom sister or brother.

Only person that has made contact is the wife of another cousin(Chris), She makes believe she doesnt know anything and calls around holidays for gossip.

Now another cousins wife has called, Jen). She left a message saying to call her. We havent heard from her in 4 years. Kinda strange since thanksgiving is next week, she used to verbally abuse me when i was a child, telling me i have no personality and should drink at age 11.
Then every x-mas she would start a fight with me for no reason, i had to stop attendting because of her. One time she called me a whore in front of everyone at xmas, i cried and left.

My mom insists that it is all my sister-in-law's responsibility to make sure that my niece and nephew get to see her(my mom) on a regular basis. I think it should mostly be my brother's and mom's responsibility. She complains about the kids never coming over to her house, but then she gets a dog when she knows that my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew are all allergic to dogs. This is a frequent cause of disagreement` between my mom and me. I'd like an objective opinion. Am i crazy?

Okay My sister, is very beautiful, but she has VERY low self esteem. She hangs around all the low lifes in town. The ones who don't have a job at age 23+ and don't have a car yet. She tells me she wishes I was dead. She does pills but she professes she doesn't anymore. She gets drunk and hangs around the ***** who rape bitches. She has been raped before at a party she was gave to many pills and drank to much.. I don't feel sorry for her anymore... There has been a recent issue in my relationship that almost spun out of control last night. We are a young engaged couple (I'm 30 & she is almost 20) renting a place together. We already have two relatively young dogs (under two years old) and one 8 month old kitten / cat. My fiance really loves animals and my enthusuasm is nowhere near and she is putting lots of pressure on me to get yet another cat. I put my foot down, calmly and in a civilsed way and said no to it. She claims that she doesn't know why its my decision & i said it should be BOTH our decisions as we both are going to be paying for it, feeding it & generally looking after it. She can't see that 3 pets is already enough. She also keeps reminding me that i regaurly purchas things for me all the time, and i remind her that those things are for my interests with my money. Buying another cat would be an immature move i think especially with another 3 pets already in the house. How do i / we deal with this?

my oldest son lives with his nan, my daughter is in foster care, and my son has been adopted, there mother didnt want them, she told many lies bout me, i hit da drink very hard and couldnt stop, i also turned t drugs, amphetamine, extascy. i got clean and soba 2 year ago, ive now got an 18 month old son by a different woman, he is not under any social services, will my other children be able t forgive me for not tryin t get them back but choosing the drink/drugs instead, but now im living with my fiancee and my youngest son, will they resent my youngest son, because he gets t live with his dad and they dont.

My parents and my brother fight constantly. they argue and yell almost every single day.

You know its both of their fault though. My brother is lazy and gets bad grades but my parents just yell at him even when he doesn't do anything.

Their constant arguing has been brutal on me as well as it has been on them. Over the summer, my life was drama. My gf cheated on me, my parents both broke their legs and my older brother was never home leaving me to run the house, and my brother had a bogas as hell gf. This lead me into depression over the summer. My face broke out into pimples, i barely ate losing 20 lbs. in 3 weeks, and i was so tense if u threw a quater at me it would bounce off like a trampoline. after i started running i regained my sanity, got new friends, met a real nice girl who i am still hooked up w/, but my brother and parents never stop fiting. I hate being depressed. What should i do? Try to stop them? talk to them? HELP! thanks everyone
