I am 16, im not on drugs 24/7, im not pregnant and i dont have any kids, i make all A's im about to skip my last 2 years of high school and go to college early, i cook dinner, help clean, and i helped her take care of my uncle when his leg got cut off but my brother is never home, always on drugs, failing grades, and is always in trouble at school and is rude to my mom all the time ( and i take up for her when he does) . now, i am always getting yelled at, never get to go anywhere if i ask, and when i need or want new clothes, i dont get them, but my brother always gets to go places, and gets new clothes. i dont ask her for much cuz i kno she doesnt have much to give money wise. and every now and then, i do ask and she wont give. and when she yells at me for no reason, when i try to tell her how i feel about all this and explain to her about wat im going through she tells me i am ungrateful and bratty and selfish, wat is up with this?? is this normal?

first off, my parents are divorced.

second, my mom and her husband are going in to visit in July. i will be 15 weeks pregnant. because she was unable to attend any of my wedding showers she wants her side of the family to have a baby shower for me while she is here.

i have issues with this 1) i will only be 15 weeks. that is freaking crazy and insane. i have already tried to stop this from happening but my family is stubborn and will not listen to my concerens.

the bigger issue 2) my other baby showers provided by my stepmothers side/dad side and in-laws will be in oct. or nov. i feel it is completely unfair to them.

i have to already register for my july baby shower. in doing so basically my mom did it so she could have first pick at what she wanted to get me (i.e. the good stuff and big ticket items). now all that will be left for later is clothes because i wont know in july what i am having yet.

how do i solve this?

whats the best way to tell my husband that his grandma just passed away? we knew this was going to happen because she had cancer and wasn't doing well. even though hes prepared to hear this anytime I still want to do this gently. I am not emotionally attached because I never even met her. My husband is pretty strong when it comes to stuff like this but this still isn't going to be easy. Any advice?

My stupid sister is always doing retarded and mean things like eating all the good food then blaming it on my brother and me and calling us selfish little brats when she is buying everything in the mall. she is 1 1/2 years older than me and she has a short temper, and she doesn't isten to me when we are arguing. She is also a snitch.(but she doesn't think she is.She thinks we are.) I WANT REVENGE. I am sick and tired of her and I need revenge. I've put up with 8 years of her without ever getting revenge while she has been putting soap in my toothbrush, messing up my hair, and throwing me to the ground. I ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE REVENGE!!!!! What should I do?

Ok so I am 15 years old and I live with my mom and my step dad. All my mom and I do is fight and she is always telling how everything is my fault and she should have never had me cause I was a mistake. Well its getting really really bad and my teachers are starting to notice stuff. I am really close with my band director and one night after practice she took me to get ice cream so we could talk...she told me that I needed to go talk to a counselor and see what options I have. I don't want to go stay with my real dad, and I could go stay with my grandparents but they live in Pennsylvania. So what options do I have? They aren't physically abusive all the time and even when they are I don't get bruises and stuff like that to prove it so what do I do??? I really need to know

I have worked in the education field for several years, and have noticed (even since I graduated from H.S. 10 yrs ago) that there is a huge increase in cheating amongst students.
I also have noticed that Yahoo Answers "Homework Help" is flooded with students wanting answers to their homework assignments, rather than researching and learning on their own.

Is this generation just lazy?!?!..or is it due to the technology that they have available (i.e. yahoo answers, internet access, more creative ways to cheat & not get caught)

Do you think it is due to the fact that our states and country are putting less of an emphasis on ethics, morals, beliefs?

Or do you think it is the parent's faults?

Or perhaps, the blame lays in the school systems...teachers and administrators not doing enough to crack down on cheating?

Where has the drive to accomplish on your own gone to???

Maybe you have a better idea as to why!

Would love to hear your thoughts and comments!!

and also is it bad if my dad calls me at 3 in the morning b/c he didn't know where I was, when I specifically told him the night before that I was staying at a friends house? but I told him when he was drunk. that's why I stayed at my friend's house.

I'll just call my Sister in law B. In early May I started asking B when her sons B-day party would be, and was told quite a few times that she hadn't planned it yet but that it would probably be a few weeks away as she had just had her daughters party. No big deal to me but the last time I asked her she said that his party would be on the 12th. Well that happened to be the same day that my son was having graduating in karate and getting his new belt so I told her that we may not be able to make it but that we would try. B proceeded to go off on me and told me that I had known about his party for a month. Although she didn't know where or what time the party was to be held until the day before the party. I gave out invitations to my daughter party 3 weeks before and she called day of the party with every excuse in the book as to why her family couldn't come. She has 5 children and we have missed 2 of her childrens parties ever. I'm ticked and I feel like she's being childish.

My mom has lived on her own since I left home and got married four years ago. My wife, was racially attacked by my sister and my other sister and brother sided with her. Whatever the provacation, the result has been we don't discuss my brother and sisters - not really an issue since they were'nt that close to me.

My mom has been lonely, and I have tried to give her support, but being married it is difficult, and having a busy job as well. Poor statement maybe, but the point is my sisters and brother, after years of shunning my mom, anre helping her out.

Part of it is so they can slag me off, which I don't care about, but now, my wife does'nt want anything much to do with my mom because she feels she (my mom) has sided with them. My wife feels angry which I understand, but kinda resents any time I spend with my mom. My wife is always first for me so I don't understand it.

I feel less pressure if the other family members visit - fine, but how do you deal with being in the crossfire?

Hiya,
how do you all get on with your inlaws?
is it a case of the dreaded mother inlaw, or are you quite close to your inlaws?

i have 2 mother inlaws (hubbys parents split then married again) and hubbies real mum is a nightmare, she asks what i have been cooking for her son, and says i need to make more of an effort on my apperance etc, i am a smart casual dressed person, but she dresses to impress all the time (but she has not got 2 babies to care for, and i have seen pics of her when she was younger and had her babies, she was worse dressed than me). Also when i was pregnant with both my girls, and if i was offered alcohol she would answer for me 'no she IS NOT having any', so needless to say i have had a few explosive arguments with her lol, but my other mother inlaw is easier to get on with, but i wouldnt trust her as far as i could through her lol.
so are you close to your inlaws, or is more a case of, tolleration for your partners sake?.

xxx
