If you live under her roof she can. She's only doing it so that you get your grade up, she's trying to help.

Yes, she can do that. It does not matter who pays the bill.

As a minor you can't legally enter into a contract, therefore, I'm assuming the cell phone is in Mom’s name. That means it's her phone. Again, it doesn't matter who pays the bill.

But even if the phone is not in Mom’s name (for example, if your grandparents got it for you) Mom can still take it away, because as a minor you are subject to the control and authority of your parents.

The solution--make sure you keep your grades up.

Yes, she can.

Just the same way she could take your toys away when you were little & were misbehaving.

Why do you think she thinks this is a good or necessary thing to do? Why do you think your grades dropped? Do you understand why it's important to do your best to get a good education? Do you see how your behavior was irresponsible? How do you feel about that?

She's only trying to help you learn what you need to know to be a responsible person.

Is the bill in her or your dad's name? Since you are a minor, the answer is most likely YES. She can do what she wants. Was keeping your grades up a stipulation for you to have your own phone? If yes, then she can take it away. It doesn't matter if you make the monthly payments and whatever other charges there are. The phone is in THEIR name, so it's not even yours. It's THEIRS.

You live under your parents roof, the phone is under your dads name, they have the right to take it away, you should honor your parents, go apologize, and do the dishes, if your nice about it, she'll probelly give it back, all she wants you to do is wash the dishes, when you don't do that how else are they going to punish you? ground you from TV?? life is much easier if you listen to your parents, if your living under there roof, it's there rules, don't like it move out, also what you should do is when you get the phone back, get it under your name, but go do the dishes,

Your Mom can do anything she wants until you are 18 and out on your own. If you really wanted your cell then you should have kept your grades up

If you are underage and you live in her house she can. You obviously don't have a lot of rights until you get older. It really depends on how old you are but you still live at home and need to obey their rules. And gyn class, for goodness sake that's the easiest class! Good luck and God Bless.

yes she can because you live under her roof and you should respect your mothers rules. she wants you to get your grades up and the sooner you do that the sooner you'll get your phone back. you should sit down with your mother and come to some kind of agreement about it. good luck.
