if I embarrass my drunk father in front of a lot of pople I know at a resturant, will they second judge me?

if my dad has a gun b/c he is a retired police officer, is that supposed to warn me to not do anything when he's drunk?
and also is it bad if my dad calls me at 3 in the morning b/c he didn't know where I was, when I specifically told him the night before that I was staying at a friends house? but I told him when he was drunk. that's why I stayed at my friend's house.

It sounds to me like you are a candidate for Teen Al anon. In answer to your first question, it is not your place to embarrass your father, anyplace, and especially in public. You are NOT his keeper. You will be making a spectical of yourself.

Second, to make sure there is complete communication, especially when he is drunk, write it down on a piece of paper and tape it to the fridge. I don't get drunk, yet I often forget when family members tell me something withour writing it down.
