It's so annoying, because if I want to buy something productive, my mom will say no and threaten to punish me if I do. Then later she'll come and take my money and use it to buy something else.

We (meaning us kids) NEVER get to buy anything that we want! (cell phones, computers, laptops, ipods, educational things, etc.)

I am a 13 year old girl. I live in the last house on a dirt road. The rode is less than a mile long. The people living on it are all old and stay indoors. My family knows most of the people.

Our neighborhood is quiet because it is composed mostly of elderly people. There aren't any kids my age in my neighborhood.

I really want to buy a bike because I desperately need something to do over the summer, but my parents refuse to let me bike alone. They tell me that I have to go with my YOUNGER siblings for protection. My younger siblings never want to go anywhere, and they aren't serious bikers.

And if something WERE to happen, how would they protect ME?

I have to WALK home from school after I am dropped off at the beginning of the dirt road from my bus stop.

This makes no sense to me! Wouldn't it be safer for me to be on a bike than to walk? (And it isn't because they are afraid I will fall off the bike. They don't want me ALONE biking.)

My sister-in-law and I have known each other for about 6 years now. I don't think highly of her. We got caught up in some "he said, she said" drama 10 mths ago. I was told by my husband that my sister-in-law was talking trash about my best friend, which meant they were talking about me also. I believed my husband. I'd had enough from her & I just couldn't keep quiet about this. I sent her an email asking her to not talk about me and my friends anymore. I didn't say anything mean in the email. She denies it and then starts in on my husband, telling me bad things about him. I sided with my husband .... just for him to later tell me he was wrong and it wasn't my sister-in-law that said it afterall. So I apologize to my SIL for wrongly accusing her & that I was only going by what I was told. She ignored both of my apologies. For the past month or so, we have been around around each other & gone to dinners and been fine. She is now blocking my emails. I thought we were past this! Advice?

Ever since I can remember, my big sister has always been bossy and no fun to be around. How come I have to share everything with her and she never has to share anything with me? And I always do it willingly. And when we talk about things, it's only so she can criticize me for something stupid. Yesterday, she criticized me for not being able to tie a perfect knot. Don't they ever have anything pleasant on their minds?
Yes, only when they are talking non stop with their snooty friends on the telephone about things annoy you with all the loud laughing so you can't concentrate on homework or watching TV.

How come she won't talk to me about the things going on with her in her daily life like she does with her friends? I always tell her how I am doing. Sometimes she is okay and sometimes she will criticize me.

I am with a man we are engaged, his daughter is 3 and she will not sleep without him when she is down, and as soon as he walks in the door she is all over him and won't let me be even next to him. I have talked to him about it but he says she just misses him and I have to deal with it. I just got her broke off of the pacifer and I would really like to be able to be next to him when she is down, I am at a stand still. He has an 10 year old son who I get along with and he has even complained to his dad about how he does not even get to spend time with his dad because of her. I get in trouble because He says I chose not to spend time with his daughter but I try and she goes straight to him, I watch them while he is at work and she is fine with me it is just when he is home and he does not see how she is with me, so I get told I don't spend time with her so he can't spend time with his son or my children. Please help!

My sister has been in a coma now for nearly 18 week. I blame my self for this as I was with her when the accident had happened. I was on the end of killing my self when I thought I could help her and not destroy her any more. I went to live back home with my parents after a serious break up, Me and my boyfriend are back together and we are planning to get married in about 6-9 months. I want to wait till i get married to leave their house again. But they are financially abusing me, they want me to pay for everything help them with everything and they are compulsive gamblers. I know they are my family and i need to help them, but i have to look out for my future, with my new husband, i havent been able to save at all for this wedding because of them. I've got abt $150 US savings in an envelope tucked away in my drawer, at the bottom of a huge pile of stuff like books and pens. i've been keeping it there since about 1 year and a half ago, and recently it's stolen. My parents are fuming, pushing all the blame on me, though I suspect a certain someone who gains entrance to our home cuz she does chores when the family's away. So, am I really the one to blame? Since my dad died and my mum kicked me out, I have not spoken to my mum, I am doing well in my life, I was living with my gf,whos parents happen to be close friends of my mum, now that I have broken up with my gf, my mother is trying the old, I care about him alot and vindictive trick to make people think she is nice and caring and I am the one with the problem,
the question is I don't want her back in my life, I am getting along just fine, what would you do in this situation.
PS: My gf dad clearly like me and would like to see me and thier daughter together, but my drama with my mum who is their mate is making things difficult, now he has been asking what the story is?

My girl told me that her ex boyfriend beat her and took her underwears from her as she tried leaving his house.
Now as we are together, her ex is annoyed.he called threating her as he will carry the underwear to juju man and my girl will not give birth. This worried me but according to my girl this guy is just making big mouth. what do you think about this issue.

my little boys dad walked out on us in march and moved in with some one ten days later, my son is six and his dad sees him for a few hours a week (his choice) we had to move back in with my parents and i got a part time job which unfortunally is at night its 2 nights a week but i am home in time to but my son to bed, i also went to a party on satarday night but was home for twelve and that has been my first night out,
now my ex says that my son never gets to see me and i am damageing him emotonally by going to work and leaving him with my mum because he is still getting used to not seeing his father (his choice) and how not seeing his mum

I grew up in an average-income family.I have parents and 2 sisters-one older and one younger.
My dad used to hit me with a belt -though he never did that to my sibs.Now sometimes if i did something bad he slaps me,and i never saw him do that to my little sister.
yes,he yells at my sisters when they are naughty but he never hit them.
There are times when my mom hurts my feelings.She scolds me if i curse but she lets my big sis go if she says bad words.
My little sis is spoiled by both my parents.
By the way my parents say that they love me but i don't think they do and if they do they probably love my sisters more than me.

Sometimes she's caring and nice but sometimes everyday, she critisizes me of my weight. She's a bit mean to me and calling me names and I usually cry sometimes. There are so many things I like to say about her or tell her, but I can't because I get into more trouble and I can't tell anyone of the same reason. mother. Last month, she refused to come to my daughter's fifth birthday party because my dad (her ex-husband) was going to be there. Keep in mind that their divorce occured 16 years ago. Days before the party, she sent me an email that basically stated that I was deliberately leaving her out and that my dad and I could laugh about the fact that she would not be there. She said I had no idea of the stuff that he had gotten away with in the divorce. When I attempted to call her and talk rationally, she flew into a rage and eventually hung up on me. She has pretty much refused to speak with me since (this was about two weeks ago now). The problem is that my daughter spends a lot of time with her. And is planning to spend two weeks with her in the summer to attend swim lessons. I do not want to deny my daughter that, but I do not want my mother to think that she is allowed to treat me like this.....What can I do?

ok so my dad past away last year to cancer. And my mom got this trail for singles.com so she tryed it out and she found a couple of guys she likes tlking to. She promised me she would take it any futher than email. Now shes texting, calling and meeting this one guy named frank. I was recently horrified to find out that there are mice living in the house. This scared me and grossed me out enough to leave for two nights. My brother set up traps weeks ago, but still no catch. I think I hear sounds at night that keep me from sleeping. I am saving enough money to leave but I cant leave soon enough. How can I get over my fear and get some sleep at night. my brother has been acting really weird lately. He be all mean and pissed out one hour, then all happy the next hour. He is 15 and im 14 so he bosses/ pushes me around. Before my grandma died (she had cancer, so she knew her time was ending) she told me that she needed me to know one thing ....
"Your dad is not your dad"
I have asked family members, and the only person to agree is my aunt.

Well my grandma has gone, and my aunt refuses to talk. But ..... I did ask my mom and dad, and was told to leave well enough alone.

Now here we are 10 years later, my parents have disowned me and have told my kids that my aunt is really my mom. When I confront I am told it was said in anger.

My grandpa just died a few weeks ago, and now my cousin is being told that she was actually raised by my grandparents because she was an illegetimate lovechild of my grandpa and aunt.

When we have researched, we have found out that infact my aunt, her mom, (or so we have been told) was a drug addict, and my grandpa was a bootlegger. (for thse who don't know ... a drug dealer of his day)

How do we find the truth and how do we know who to believe?
