AND SHE WONT EVEN LET ME LiSTEN TO RAP MUSiC AND THATz LiKE MY FREAKiN CULTURE AND iM ALWAYz FEELiNG STUPiD iN FRONT OF MY FRiENDS CUZ i HAVE NO iDEA WHAT THEY ARE TALKiNG ABOUT. MY MOM SAiD SHE NEVER TOLD ME THAT KiND OF STUFF CUZ iT WASN'T iMPORTANT. BUT i WANT TO KNOW THE THiNGS ARE AROUND ME AND i DON'T WANT TO BE LEFT OUT. Exactly. She can't shield you from the world forever. The problem with your mom is being over protective. Go find out things and just don't turn yourself into a bad person. That's what worries your mom.

Most rap music is degrading to girls. It puts them down and makes them sound like they are all whores. It glorifies hurting and killing others and it also demeans their own race by calling themselves ******* and ho's. It promotes rebellion against society. There are a few rap singers that have a good message, like Usher. You should be glad your mom loves you enough to protect you from this kind of "music". HOw does your dad feel about this? You can't let peer pressure determine the kind of person you want to be. Your mom is just helping you set your standards high. There are alot of bad influences in this world, and this is what your mom is trying to protect you from. She's trying to help you identify the bad influences. You will get to do more things when you show better judgement. Be thankful for such a great mom that loves you. I can gaurantee the kids listening to bad rap and doing whatever they want are kids that have parents that don't love them or don't care what they do. You are one of the LUCKY GIRLS!!!!!

Tell your mom everything that you just told us! Emo, rap music and Goth are styles that kids get into, but some of these things CAN lead to other dangerous things.
Talk with your mom and tell her that you are curious and need to know from her about these things. I am sure she will understand. Also ask her why she wants to keep these things from you. I'm sure she will say that it's to protect you and to keep you from getting into trouble.

it's frustrating, but normal. your mom loves you and wants to protect you. some kids know more, but don't have the love that you have! Hang in there and don't do the stupid stuff. your mom is teaching you how to keep yourself safe, that's an extremely more important lesson. just keep communication open with her!

I feel your pain!!! sounds like my exact junior high experience! I want you to know that It gets way way way way way way way better!!! (Its called College)Educate yourself stay focused right now in school. Join a team or club dedicated to a good cause. It sounds like your self esteem is pretty low. Start working out on a regular basis and watch your depression melt away.

Your mom Loves you and she doesn't want you corrupted by this nasty world......I wish that I was ignorant of things that go one in the world......The less that I knew about gay people the better off I would be.....the less I knew about abortion, abuse, rape, sexual disease.....some times the less you Know is better in the long run......Don't be in hurry to be friends with this world......This world is your enemy......Cherish your innocence.....I know that adults really miss the innocence of childhood.
