I was recently horrified to find out that there are mice living in the house. This scared me and grossed me out enough to leave for two nights. My brother set up traps weeks ago, but still no catch. I think I hear sounds at night that keep me from sleeping. I am saving enough money to leave but I cant leave soon enough. How can I get over my fear and get some sleep at night. I am tired of napping at friends houses. Im terrified. ps. they wont let me get a cat in the house ;(

Try d-CON. Its in a yellow box. Inside is a bag of tasty bait you open up and leave out for them. I live in the country and had mice until we used this. It will get rid of them. Glad to hear you are saving money to move. Good luck

Buy Decon mouse poison. It works better than traps. But be careful if you have a dog or cat. If they get a hold of the poisoned mice it can make them sick or kill them too. Mice won't hurt you, they are nasty though and leave droppings all over. They will chew holes every where and get into all the food. Mice are part of this old world and aren't a sign of a bad family, just pestilence that can be gotten rid of.

I know how you feel ... I hate mice too ... I can't believe your parents aren't doing something about this. You need find where they are coming in from and seal that up, also maybe see if you can rent a room or an apartment now, your health is at risk, they carry lots of diseases.

When you do move out ... take all your clothes, bedding, pillows .. etc to a laundry mat and wash it all. I would not take your mattress (they like those).

I'm horrified your parents aren't doing anything to rectify the situation.

first of all, those little guys are more scared of you than you are of them. They are just trying to get a bite to eat. So try to clean up any little crumbs anywhere. Then since summer is here maybe they will move outdoors. They arent bad. This should be motivating for you to study hard if you are still in school to get a good job or , if you are out of school, work harder to get your own place. All little creatures have a purpose in the food chain so maybe if you get some books and read about them, you will understand and realize they are harmless.

Go to a pet store and look at the mice. Touch and hold them. They are just furry little animals and pets for many. Tell yourself that they do not crawl on people so you don't have to worry about that. Then call an exterminator! Use some of your money for that so you can have peace of mind until you move.

Slow down man! You're going off the deep end! Have you
ever taken a good look at a little mouse? They are cute little
critters and all they want is something to eat. If you don't like
them, give them some food OUTSIDE YOUR HOUSE. They
will not bite you (unless they're rabid). Make some pets of
them and sell them to your local pet store.

Buy some mouse poison and set it out also. The traps should work if they're still in the house.
Maybe right now you're just imagining things and they have left.
I don't like them either and they creep me out too.Good luck with moving out soon.Could you move in with a friend for the time being. You need to get sleep at night.

the best thing i can say is to make sure that you dont leave any food on the floor or crumbs for that matter. make sure that all the garbage in the house is covered and that the house is kept extremely clean and that there isnt any leaking water faucets....hope this helps..if this doesnt stop it, call "orkin" and they can help out..any hardware store might be able to help out as well..

Ask if you can pay for an exterminator. Its unhealthy for your parents to be living in a house with rodents, you need to have them get the problem taken care of right away.
