We are both very ready to be married. We have been friends since high school and have lived together for about 8 months now (and yes, we've slept together). We are in our earliy 20's. We are thinking about getting married in the next week or two and then not telling anyone (with the exception of our mothers) and the having the foraml cerimoney later, probobly around September of 2008. The earliness would be soely for renting, insurance, and other financial reasons. It would make things a lot easier, and we both don't want to wait that long. But we both want a big wedding with everyone there, and the whole nine yards. I wouldn't change my name or anything until the service. My mother got married a few months before her wedding too... So I don't know, any thoughts or things I'm not considering?

Im not currently married but I have heard so many stories about how after a couple has children their sex life fizzles to nothing. I enjoy having sex multiple times a day with my partner, but Im afraid of that ceasing once we decide to have children. Is this something every couple goes through or some and how can I avoid it?

My boyfriend and I having been dating for around 3 years now. We both have two years of college left. Both of us see our relationship ending in marriage if all goes well. The only major concern I have is not in him, it is his family. First off my family loves my boyfriend. Everyone is very kind and inviting to him.Then comes the problem..his family is does not include me in hardly anything. They barely talk to me when I go to their house. I do not feel welcome. Their house is also a very messy place, which my boyfriend and I greatly dislike. I cant see my future kids being in their presence. He had talked with them about it. Nothing changes. He feels very bad about the way I am treated. His mother is very protective and I think this is the cause but it really hurts me. I'd like to be close. What should I do..continue being friendly and try to make a good relationship with them even though it doesnt seem to work? Should I try to give a little distance and accept that we wont be close

so my boyfriend sister absolutely hates me and i disslike her. she had said that I am not good enough for him and has told him that his whole family thinks I am a gold digger and and trapped her brother by having our child (BTW I made more money that he does), now, everytime i see them all I can think about is what they said about me which is sad because they havent made any effort to get to know me in the last year and a half. I feel like she is trying to break us up by telling him these things and especially since she has told me she can tell him things to break up with me. Everyday I come home from work I usually tell my husband about my day and how it sucked and tell him about the mean customers i get. It seems like my husband is always aginst me when I tell him a situation. Tonight I told him that (btw I work at a arts and craft store) I got this customer who got really pissed at me when I explained to her about a return policy. She was buying a hand crafted bow topper for her xmas tree. Hand crafted items are not refundable. She flips out because she is not understanding me correctly and starts to call me a smart @$$. So I was like "Mam you need to calm down" and then customer says "your a dumb *****, and your are EFFIN RETARDED" and starts waving the stupid bow in my face and she got freaking glitter in my eye. I then say "F YOU. Get out of my line" I shut off my register light and go to my manager. The customer denied calling me all that... so I denied saying "F u" because no one heard me

my new boyfriend who moved in a week ago (with five suitcases not to mention-who has that many ??) and I thougt everything was fine until I started hearing rumers about him. At first I thougt maybe it was win he was a juvinile..."?" mine and my boyfriends ideologys totally differ from each others in the issue of joint families. well we both r from totally different kinda family. his family is totally ortodox and r kinda old fashioned. but mine is not so. i want to live seperately after marraige. i want to work and be the way i am at my home after marraige. but he wants to live with his parents . but his parents r very old fashioned. infact i suppose they will have a problem with me goin to work too! they have too many expectations. they want a totally homely daughter-in-law who does all the house old work and takes care of them and all. but i am never used to such things. and the idea of me doing such things in future makes me feel sick. i love my boy friend a lot and he loves me a lot too. but he just doesnt want to leave his parents. he even goes to the extent of saying that v may break-up if i cant adjust to this. v r not goin to married atleast for 5 yrs. but whenevr the this topic comes up i go numb.!

everyhting is telling me to do it, but i love him so much .

he didnt cheat on me .
he's a good guy. it's just continuous bullshit .
i believe in compromise & communication for a relationship to work well .
and weve been lacking that really bad on & off .
weve been together 9 months, & through those mnths, have been through a lot of ups & downs .
there was a point in the beg. of our relationship when i didnt get to see him 4 2 months .
+ we live so far away from each other .
i didnt like that, & my friends werent the best supporters, so they kept encouraging me to breakup .
so i told him i wanted to breakup...but in my heart i didnt want to, i even cried over the phone while i was doing it .
he convinced me to stay w. him .
things have gotten stronger .
but yet, our relationship lately has been weaker...due to the lack of trying to connect . i jus feel he has taken me for granted .

my exhusband has a new girlfriend and has decided that he is going to spend time with her away from our kids. The first time was 2 weeks ago, he went to New Mexico on vacation with her for 10 days then he's leaving tomorrow for five days to go to Mississippi with her. Granted I am happy for him that he's moving on but my 10 year old is pretty upset that Dad keeps leaving and in her own words hates this woman because she is taking her Dad time away from her. I have NEVER said anything cross or bad about this woman. I love the extra time I get with the girls, I really am not complaining about that. After about 2 days, my girls begin to ask for their Dad. Honestly, I could never leave my girls for an extended amount of time like that to be with any man, my obligation is to them. Tonight, I finally told him I had enough and I was worried about the girls and his constant leaving. I guess fathers are different than mothers. We have joint custody.

Should I tell my friends that I am a virgin. I am 19 and in college. I don't want to lie to my friends, but I think if I told them that I was a virgin they might think I am a loser and not want to hang out with me or they might think I am gay. I just dont know if its a good idea to tell them that on top of that I have never kissed a girl and I know if I told them that they would think I was gay when I am not. I have just welcomed my daughter into the world and need a nickname for her grandmother. My mother has plenty of grandchildren and they call her Mamo (from the Gaelic). This is my wife's mother's first grandchild and we need a good name for her. Her heritage is German, English, Irish, French and Native American, she is from the Carolinas if that helps. Gran, Grandma, Granny are just too old and too pretentious. Mamo is great, we want this one to be great, too.

i was in this relationship with a guy that had problems with underage drinking and drug use. he'd get high on a regular basis and then mess around with me. So i told him if he didn't give up drugs we won't even be friends. We wound up becoming best friends. A few weeks ago i was told by one of my friends that he had told her he had been doing drugs again so i confronted him about it and he told me he did but it was a "one time thing". So as if i didn't have trust issues with him before now he's breaking promises. it took me about 2 weeks to begin to believe he was telling the truth. So today the friend that told me about him starting up drugs again told me that this weekend he did again. I confronted him about it again and he told me he didn't. I don't know who i should believe. He's broken promises, lied to my face, and abused me before. And my friend was right the first time. I don't know who to believe. You always want to be the girl he'll change for. I don't think he'd give them up
