Ok, I just left for college and I can't make friends. Something in the back of my head just won't let me. In high school I was really popular but in college I just can't move onto new friends? Does anyone have any ideas of how I can fix this?

my friend mike is a preacher's kid. he's almost 21. he was on main street and lit up a cigarette. when he got home his parents said 3 of our members called and said they saw you w/ a cigarette. then they chewed his a$s. he said he's an adult and what he does is none of their business. I don't agree w/ smoking, but I do agree w/ it not being their business. another time he went to class (college) in pajama bottoms. lots of students do that. his parents got called and said we saw mike at the college wearing pajamas! what is wrong w/ that boy blah blah blah. also, he was downtown again and holding his girlfriend's hand. he kissed her on the lips. guess what happened? yup! phone calls and all that. (his parents didn't care). he gets pretty pissed off, and I would to. He flat told his parents that it's no one's business, and that if the church members say something to him, he'll say it's no one's business but my own. watcha think?

My very soon to be husband is making final arrangements to join the military so he can go to Iraq. Although I agreed to be supportive & willing to raise our family of 6 on my own because I know how important it is to him to be active in a war. But now that the time is so near, I feel a bit of resentment. As if he's not in any concern about me or our family. And most of all, I haven't been honest about how I really feel... I'm terrified that he may not even come back!!! With no intentions on changing his mind, should I be truthful with him on how I really feel? Is it selfish of me to feel this way? If I hold this in will I regret it later? I really want to do whats best for all of us. I haven't spoken to anyone about this yet & its heavy on my mind. Any suggestions??

i think i am. i had such high hopes in college.

my dating life sucked in high school...never had a girlfriend (but i have had random encounters so its not like im a library nerd).

i looked so forward to college to start dating...doing well grades wise...hopefully find a girlfriend that i can take out to eat, go to the movies with, do all the stuff couples do...valentines is always depressing

well im at the UNIV of Alabama and nothings changed...the girls are still prudes...holyer than though types....boys and girls are usually just friends....

what should i do? im thinking about just goin to college in vegas

I used to be friends with a depressed person or two, but not anymore. Not that I didn't try--I did. For years. But despite their wonderful qualities, the depression is just too much of a drag to be around. They sucked the life out of me. How do you have friends, depressed people, if you're the type who just yammers on about what a bummer life is, sighing, laying around, etc? Just curious...

me and my bf just started in a new restaurant... and everytime i change out of my uniform and into my casual clothes... i always dont wear my jacket and hold it by my hand on purpose so that my bf and my other new co-worker (guys) see my bod... (like in tank tops, shirts, stuff that hug my curves). I never fail to see them look at me with "that look". But i dont do it because i want to be slutty. I just do it because i love hearing my bf complain how other guy looks at me like that and how he doesnt want others to see my "hot bod"... i know lots of guys like it if other guys are looking at their gf like that but my bf is different. He doesnt treat me as a trophy and he treats my as his gf... though i just love hearing him complain about it.

Does this make me a bad person?

Ok I am 21 and I WAS talking to this 35 yr old marrid man... yes I know it was wrong so you dont have to give me the lecture. Well we met at the gym cuz we both play racquetball. We talked on the phone and did some stuff for about 2 weeks until his wife started to find out and started following him everywhere he goes now. Well he told me that HE CAN NOT TALK TO ME ANYMORE b/c he didn't want his wife to find out and everything and so we stopped talking altogether. Well Monday I went up to the gym to play racquetball and he was up there playing with his friends and I caught him looking at me quite a few times when he thought I was looking away or something. His friends were also STARING AT ME like he told them something false about me, like a rumor!!! I dont understand what this means or why he would still even look at me???? I am just wondering, thats all... im not trying to pursue him. Guys... can you answer this please?

After much thought/consideration, I have decided to stop hanging out with a neighbor who happened to be a friend for several years. After making new friends other than at my high school in college, I now feel that him and others were bad influences on me. I have no idea what to do when I comeback home from college. I really don't want to start talking to him when I first get back and make it appear that everything is fine and that we are gonna hang out over the break. I went on an amazing first date with a really nice guy after emailing and talking on the phone. We have a ton in common and really hit it off. Within the first couple of days he was text messaging me with, Will you marry me? It kind of creeped me out, but I thought that he was trying to be funny. The texting continued, along with great conversation. The first date was amazing with dinner, then off to see a band and we sat and cuddled in the booth, which was followed by kissing. It was great. The conversation then turned into more of a physical nature and then it got kind of weird for both of us... Not quite sure what to do or where this is going... Any ideas? i have been in the same miserable relationship for 6 yrs and i want out but i dont know how to do it. We argue all of the time and whenever we're not arguing, we hardly speak at all. we dont even watch tv in the same room. Sne acts as if everything is fine but she cant be serious. p.s. kid involved. My daughter and her boyfriend have been together for a short time but they insist they are in love and want to marry in a year or two. The problem is, my daughter is pregnant! This was not on purpose. She was on the pill. Anyway, her father and I think they should have a small, quiet wedding right away. They say no! What are the pros and cons to this. My daughter thinks that we want this just to save us some embarrasment. I said either marry the guy or get rid of him because why subject a child to a lifetime of being pulled between the two of them if they don't marry.

A man at work was recently accused by a co-worker of having a relationship with one of the girls there. My first thoughts were "he is a braver man than I."
